[Nel] Newtown Dragon

From dreaming of playing video games with your brother to waking up inside one. You woke up inside a dark room illuminated by glowing flowers on a flower vase. You were sleeping on a mat on the floor inside what seems to be a storage room. You are in your battered armor and your wounds have somehow healed but you know the armor still needed some time to fix itself.

Looking around, the room's got shelves and on them are various strange items you are not familiar with such as strange herbs, roots, eyeballs, and other things.

A few moments, Lena enters the room.

"How are you feeling?" She says with a gloomy expression on her face.

"I-, I'm alright." You notice that her eyes are still swollen from crying.

Nel's armor unmanifests as if it dissolved in the air.

"Th-That's a rare armor you have, are you by any chance a high ranking adventurer?" Lena asks.

"Ah, I-I see." Lena did not pry more about how Nel got there or how Nel isn't an adventurer but she explained briefly what adventurers are: in a sense, they are freelancers working on jobs to help the people out or remove threats to towns like the blue goblin menace.

"What are your plans now?" Lena asks.

"Newtown's got an adventurer's guild if you want to live as an adventurer doing quests and fighting monsters like the blue goblins." Lena answers.

"Aside from that, this village also has the Guardians, a group that maintains the law and order in this humble town." She added.

Lena tells you where the Guardians building is located.

"I'd take you there but I have things to do right now." Lena says. She then take out a pouch of coins.

"Here take this." She hands a the pouch of coins to Nel.

"The adventurers guild asked me to give this to you. Reward for helping out in the goblin extermination." Lena says.

You made your way out of Lena's place and into town. You passed by the fishing pier, the market place, the adventurers guild before you arrive at the Guardians. You went in, there are desks and it looked like a modern police precint minus the appliances, computers, and donuts. They do have coffee though and you saw some of them drinking while chatting with each other.

The receptionist, a cat like lady in uniform, looks at you.

"Anything I can help you with, sir?" She asks with a bored monotonous voice and a dull expression on her face.

"I see." The cat lady inspects Nel with her eyes from head to toe before taking out a crystal ball.

"Why do you want to join the Guardians?" She asks. Nel notices the cat lady's nameplate. It says 'Sharon'.

Sharon awaits Nel's response.

"Alright. Fair enough, we do need more people to protect this town. The number of hooligans are increasing lately and we need people to deal with those." The cat lady says.

"Place your hand on this crystal ball so I can make you a license." She says. When you placed your hand on the crystal ball a hologram screen appears in front of you. It shows a photo of you, your name, your birth date, your blood type, all translated to [ COMMON ]. Sharon says you just need to fill in the required information in the screen but somehow it's already auto-filled with information about you.

One area is not filled in though, the blank before [ CLASS ], on your screen are options for you to choose from.
The choices are PUGILIST, SWORDSMAN, WARRIOR, DRAGOON, ARTIST.

While you are choosing, Sharon explains things about the guild: what the guild does, what the membership is for, and what you can do with your license. To summarize:

* The guardians are law enforcers and protectors of the land. They are responsible for catching criminals and preventing any crime from happening.
* The licenses are ranked from E to SSS, higher rank denotes higher authority in the guardians organization.
* Higher rank also meant bigger responsibilities but also meant higher wage.
* The guardians license is recognized in almost all countries, you'll need it to even enter some cities.

Nel picked Artist. The words Artist Lvl 1 and a small icon of a palette and a paintbrush appears . The same icon burns on the back of Sho's right hand as if a tattoo artist used lasers to put it there. Not a neat tattoo. Suddenly, Nel realizes about boons of being an 'Artist' in this world.
Nel also learn about two other things:
[ Unlock Scout Lvl 2 ] Requires 5 Power points.
[ Gain another class ] Requires 5 Power points.

"An artist? I wonder how that'd help in this profession but, oh well." Sharon chants a few words. The hologram screen disappears and a card appears on his hand. She hands the card to you. In it are the same details and even the photo of you.

"Right now, you should rest. Find a place for you to settle in or something cause I'm guessin you're not from around here." Sharon says. She recommends a person whom Nel can buy a room or a cabin from. But since it is already evening, going there the morning after is advised. If Nel has no place to sleep in, Sharon recommends Sunrise Inn.

Sharon reminds that Nel should be in the office early the next morning for orientation.

Nel went shopping. The market area's near the guardian's building so he need not go far to look for the things he wanted to procure.

Does Nel want to buy or do anything else or should he rest at the inn for the night?

The shopkeeper did not mind you as you draw your practice piece. He's a burly man with a boar's head and a simple sense of fashion. As long as you don't bother the other customers, the boarkin wouldn't mind Nel drawing him. In no time, Nel finished his sketch but lacking sense on what 'handsome' is like in the boarkin sense, the artwork looked like the subject. Nevertheless, it is ok quality like most practice sketches.

Regarding how long it took Nel to finish it, he did it very fast. It only took him 4 minutes to create a detailed sketch of the boarkin, usually it would take an hour or more to finish something like it.
