Curse of the Riven Sky

It has been months, perhaps a year or two since you have all starting travelling together, and sharing in quests. There have been good times, and bad, but you have come to rely on each other, and your skills. Your names have also spread throughout parts of Golarion where people seek you all for tasks that wouldn't be entrusted to just any adventurer.

You have recently finished one such quest. First what seemed a lowly group of bandits, only to find it had been run by a dragon, using dispensable soldiers to help build it's horde. Among the other goods in its horde which you sold, or kept, you found a book, inscribed with the runes for the word Titan in the cover.

Your detection magics let you know there is power, or some kind inside, but it seems to be locked behind a ritual. Asking around other mages have not been able to help much but ascertained it must be performed by one with cloud giant blood, as it was such who wrote the book in the first place. You have been directed towards a cloud giant called Zoarth. Unlike most of giantkind, Zoarth is not automatically hostile to the smaller races, although he does like his privacy. His castle lies at the top of a high peak in the Kodar Mountains.

Finally you have found yourself at the bottom a path said to lead you up Mount Kallaris, to Zoarth's castle. Looking up you can see the mountain peak is shrouded in clouds.
OOC:
I'll give you some time to talk with each other, and decide your approach up the mountain.

The gnome tinkerer slaps the side of his immense wooden land vehicle. "That terrain may get tough for these wheels, but I can get it hovering when we need to," he says. "There's no reason to wear ourselves out with climbing and rough hiking, as long as this will fit on whatever path we're taking."

Kraig leans back in his seat, burly arms crossed over his chest, squinting out across the snowy landscape. "Where are the giants?" He demands in his booming voice. "You said there would be giants." He didn’t understand why the book they had found was so important, but he had been told there would be giants involved in opening it and he wanted to see if giants lived up to the stories about their mythical strength. The journey to the frozen north had been long and slow and he was growing impatient.

Yuuki sighed as she rode shotgun in Ergyrian's machination. "Do we need to pull this machine over, Kraig? We're not there yet." Of course, the tiefling was also getting impatient, since she'd been itching for a good fight for a while. But at least they didn't have to walk quite as much.

"That wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world." The big man grumbled. Despite growing up in Numeria, Kraig had never trusted technology, even sufficiently advanced mundane technology. Ergyrian’s vehicle was no exception. "What’s the big deal with this book, anyhow? It’s just a book." He hadn’t been miffed at all that he was unable to open said book despite his well-renowned strength. He trusted such blatant magics only slightly more than technology.
