Jamal is a robust half-elf in his middle fifties, about six feet tall and a muscular 180 lbs. He has grey hair and a full beard, blue eyes, and tanned skin. He wears faded studded leather armor over worn travelers clothes. RIght now he has a rich shortbow, two quivers of arrows, two daggers, and a handaxe. He also carries a human thighbone capped in silver as an arcane focus. He has a fey spirit familiar in the shape of an owl, who he calls Judge.

Jamal was born into a clan of rangers who wander the North and worship the demigod Gwaeren Windstrom. Jamal would have been a ranger too if the night sky hadn’t called him to a different destiny. But in his early twenties, the stars began to call to him at night, urging him to leave the clans behind and set out for his own life. Jamal resisted for a time, then heeded their call.

He has learned to fight evil with bow and magic since he stopped wandering with the clan. He has defeated a band of necromancers and keeps the leader’s arcane focus, a silver-capped thigh bone, as a trophy and his own arcane focus. A grateful community provided him with his magic shortbow as a thanks for destroying the necromancers. But Jamal felt the need to wander on.

Jamal is friendly and good, but he has some quirks. He believes the stars control our destinies and is deeply interested in the occult mastery of fates and divinations. He owns an ornate tarot card deck for doing auguries, though it takes him ten minutes to cast and read the warnings.

Currently Jamal has felt the stars want him to investigate this Temple of Gugglagath. He has bought two mules and hired two hirelings to help manage them. He’s heard there’s other strangers in town looking to journey to the Temple, and Jamal wants to meet them. He’s not greedy for treasure or artifacts, but he thinks the mystery needs solving.

Taivas Mundobi is a Moon Elf from the island of Evermeet; a grand civilization of elves in the land of Faerun. Though he has spent most of his training on the Sword Coast, his loyalties are to his people and, once he graduated from apprentice to full-fledged bladesinger, he returned to Evermeet to receive missions from the high council.

Bladesingers are the elite agents of the Tel'Quesir ("The People" in elvish). They are master wizards that combine their power as spellcasters with their skill with a blade. The bladesong itself is an extremely demanding martial art, the epitome of elven mastery of weapons. It was a defensive style of combat that allowed an elven warrior to cast spells without fear of successful counter-attack. Bladesingers themselves referred to it as a sense of serenity amid the disorder and disruption of battle.

While the word "bladesong" referred to the whistling sound a bladesingers weapon made when cutting through the air, the style itself actually resembled something of a dance. It was described as being both hauntingly beautiful and almost otherworldly in appearance.

This is Taivas' second year of work as a bladesinger for the Tel'Quesir, and he is young when compared to other bladesingers of his skill and experience. He still holds his elven child name though not for much longer.

Taivas is a jovial moon elf who loves his people but can never say no to exploring the unknown beyond his island. He is a champion of elven culture but a friend to everyone and loves to learn from them. Taivas also has a spirit familiar in the form of an owl named Taoru. She and Taivas have been on many adventures together and they are close friends.

His current mission is to investigate the Temple of Gugglagath. To find the Feywild rift hidden inside, if indeed there is one, and close it; as the creatures and powers that escape from the rift has caused trouble for the elven people in the adjacent area.

Brax is a six foot tall Satyr with brown skin, brown fur, and brown eyes. His teeth, however, are pearly white. Like most Satyrs, he enjoys life to the fullest, and his silver tongue is both his greatest tool and his sharpest weapon. Brax's earliest memories are of cavorting and gamboling through the meadows and forests of the Feywild but he grew tired of it after a while, craving increasingly greater excitement.

Not religious per se, Brax reveres Hyrsam, the satyr archfey and so-called Prince of Fools, a living incarnation of song and revelry who seeks to return the Feywild to the chaos and mayhem of the earliest days. After reveling in Hyrsam's roving band in his teens, Brax left the Feywild to carouse in the mortal world. Wine, women, men, and song were Brax's constant companions. His eloquent voice and infectious personality served him well for decades until he eventually found himself as a Master of Ceremonies for a thrill-killing, pleasure-seeking cabal led by an ancient demon. Perhaps there really is such a thing as too much partying. The group's sadistic entertainment, opportunistic violence, and cruel depravity were too much for even Brax's liberal sensibilities, and he decided to return to the Feywild and its relatively more sedate revels. Brax looks forward to less bloody amusements as he matures.

Knowing of the temple of the Green Lord, Brax decided to have one last adventure by helping the locals, figuring out what is wrong in the Feywild, and getting home in the process.
