Has anyone ever played that game? I have the book and would love to run it, but I just started a new game lol. Curious because it looks pretty cool and I like that its a re-skinned version of 3.5 sort of. Anyone done this game?

Yes I own the hardcover and lived in the rift area lol. I've tried running a game IRL but had too many scheduling issues. Would love to play this

I've played Monte Cook's Numenera. Is World of Darkness anything like that?

No. It's a high powered 3.5 dungeons and dragon system. It's set in a modern alternate reality. A dimensional rift has opened up in the American midwest. Through it, all kinda nasty things have crawled out.

The PCs resemble World of Darkness characters in name only. I've played both systems and will say WoD is RP heavy and McWoD is very technical. Neither systems, nor array of creatures and characters are alike in any way. So dont go into the game expecting WoD lore, because there isn't any.

Besides all that, it's a fun op game with a unique cast of classes/races to play. The magic system is a bit clunky IRL but should be much easier on PbP
