This thread is for discussing LightOfMidnight's character please do not post anything here that is not related to LightOfMidnight's character and yes collaborating with LightOfMidnight is consider fair postings.

Please make all rolls in here and outline what you are are doing so that I can give you feedback on the world. Do note though this game borrows heavily from the Forgotten Realms so you can use information from that setting to outline your background.

Thinking Fey Warlock atm

If I do go Archfey, could I refluff things like armour of shadows to appear as vines and leaves, etc? I have a concept for a patron unless you have specific ones already.

Okay if you do go Arch Fey thing keep in mind you will most likely still have a Patron deity along with having a Patron Arch Fae as the Arch Fae are not deities and if you review the Patron thread under World Dynamics you will find most characters in Forgotten Realms have a patron and they often pay homage or placate other deities.

If you have an idea of an Arch Fae I am very interested in hearing about it -- because they are a rather eclectic and seemingly eccentric group of individuals

And by "Fey" Warlock are you talking a more fae like race or are you just going to use one of the standard races?

Sorry by fey warlock I meant 'Archfae' as in the patron, I'd just briefly forgotten how it was written, and forgot to change on edit after looking up. Was currently thinking either half-elf or tiefling.

Okay started working again. Looking at Archfey patron, pact of the tome. Taking book of ancient secrets - Would you let me use gold to write more rituals into the book? Also would you want me to work out costs as if she bought scrolls? In which case what would costs of lv1 and 2 scrolls be?

For deity patron thinking the treat with the very long name. Still looking at backgrounds and precise backstory.

Okay just did this myself in a game I am in and you can buy any spell you can cast --- Scrolls pre-game cost 50gp each per level -- to auto-transfer it into your book pre-game costs an additional 50gp per level AND VERY IMPORTANT pre-game there is no chance of failure but in-game there is per the guidelines on that. So the costs would be

1st Level : 50gp + 50gp = 100gp
2nd Level : 100gp + 100gp = 200gp

The Great Tree (as it is called by many but not all) may not be the best patron to suit your Arche-Fae while Mask seems to be more inline with their description and the overall purpose you have put forth

Fair. I had been looking more at the nature said of Archfae, but you have a good point of it also fitting Mask. I can work with that.

Solid I am sure with elements within this game you may find that your character will have a unique incite into some of the strangeness that exists look forward to how it unfolds
