not getting emails

I had no idea I should be getting emails when someone posts in a forum i'm subscribed to! the only emails I've gotten are when someone added a character to my game and that's it. I checked my email settings and I have them set to send me emails for everything and I am subscribed to the forums I post in. is it just me?

I get them for subscribed posts and characters, but not MPs.

I get them for everything except for Private Messages

The variety here bothers me more than the fact that some emails aren't going through...
