This thread is for discussing mlettow's character please do not post anything here that is not related to mlettow's character and yes collaborating with mlettow is consider fair postings.

Please make your rolls in here and outline what your are doing so that I can give you feedback on the world. Do note though this game borrows heavily from the Forgotten Realms so you can use information from that setting to outline your background.

Do the Yroc have their own language, or do they only speak Common?

No they have their own language and Common is just Human (even though there are numerous dialects)

In Character Creation Parameters: Starting Resources, you said that we can buy non-magical special metal items. Does that mean that we are allowed to make material modifications such as bone or cold iron to our armor and weapons? Additionally for armor and weapons, do we use the list you have in House Rules, the link to the D&D Shop Catalogue in Character Creation Parameters, or both? Also, If we can buy armor from the list in House Rules, is there a limit on rarity?

Okay I thought I removed that Catalogue sorry -- it ended up being confusing -- so purchase Armor and Weapons from those that are listed under House Rules -- also Masterwork (max +2/+2) and those different materials listed are all available for both armor and weapons.

Otherwise use the PHB for gear but if their is something you want that is not listed just ask

how are things coming along mlettow?

I just submitted a character. I'm not sure how to change it from "4." That was just intended as a placeholder until I came up with a name. I might just have to copy-paste a new sheet and resubmit it.

When in your list of characters you will see a Gear Symbol click on that and you can change the name of the file but the name of the file is not the name of the character that is pulled from the sheet name

Made some adjustments to the following let me know what you think

From a young age, Karg was fascinated by exploration and devoted to Dukagsh. He advocated for expanding Yroc territory into unclaimed and unexplored regions and avoiding conquests of other nations. The more warlike members accused him of being weak. As a test of his devotion and strength, he set out into the wilderness for a month alone, after a month in the wilderness fending off wild beasts and surviving, he proceeded towards civilization choosing not to return to his homeland until he has done 1,000 good deeds. Eventually he made his way to Waterdeep, by traveling with merchants and adventurers from town to town. There, he met Kadri and through him joined the Order of the Gauntlet. He and Kadri spent a few months catching thieves and stopping conflict. The Order requested that Karg travel to Far Reach to help in dealing with problems in that region, they feel his racial traits will help those who are already established a base there.

I do understand the orders method of working in teams but that is going to be handled once you get to Far Reach and report in but bringing along an NPC alters the basics of creating the group and I would rather avoid both the NPC and alterring the basics of the lead in.

Looking at your stats I am not understanding what you did

Starting Attributes : 16, 15*, 14*, 13*, 13, 12*

STR ..... 18 (-3) = 15
CON .... 16 (-1) = 15 ??
DEX ..... 13 ------- 13
INT ...... 12 ------- 12
WIS ..... 14 ------- 14
CHA ..... 14 ------- ??

So as you can see neither the 16 nor the 13 were used and you have two numbers (15 and 14) that do not exist -- please correct your numbers

I read the +1 to CON as +1 to CHA, my bad, I will fix. Thank you for pointing that out!
