Microscope world-building game

I want to try something new because, well, why not?

Im looking for four more players to play Microscope here on Gamersplane.

If you haven't heard of Microscope it is a type of RPG where you first create a world, with a full history, geography, etc, and then you populate it with all sorts of interesting characters and finally you roleplay important scenes within the history to determine what actually happens.

You can jump around through time, adding details here and there and gradually filling it in and bringing the world to life.

What I am hoping to accomplish is to have a nice, vibrant, believable homebrew setting in which we can go on to play other games (DnD, etc), with the results of those games being added to the fabric of the history of the world.

Now since I haven't tried this out before it will be experimental, so we might need to make things up as we go, but you can handle that, can't you?

If you're looking for some people for a collaborative world building game for the most part I'm game for learning a new system of sorts.

I'd love to jump in if you have room! I got Microscope a while ago because it sounded cool, but I've never actually had a chance to try it out.

Great! That's Remnant and Baktrax in. Two more players have shown interest so we could be full soon.

I'm interested, but I have a lot on my plate already. I'll have to take a look at Microscope the next time I have a chance.

I'm kind of out of sync time wise with others, so I'd think I'd miss out on a lot while at work, but will be following along.

For public games, you can also go to the game page, and on the game menu that appears at the bottom, go to the forums. I know it's not the most intuitive thing, but it's an option. I really need to figure out something to help manage the public games thing too...

I tried that first, to be honest. It didn't show the forums. I'll look again when I get to a computer.

The bar doesn't show on all mobile browsers/devices, and doesn't always work properly; it's part of how mobile phones interpret sites, and is something I'd need a mobile site to fully address :/
