New player orientation

Hello and welcome to the game.

For basic instructions on how to make your character, refer to the first two posts of the "Character creation"-thread.
There also is a thread with a quick step-by-step guide to character creation.

Your character will start off at an archeological reasearch mission on a planet that is at the outer boundary of the reach of the human race.
Per default your character was hired to assisst in this research mission according to his/her profession. But maybe you have something different in mind.

Currently we are lacking an engineer. I'm not forcing anyone to play one of course but that'd be a niché that could be filled.

If there are any questions just ask away. I'll do my best to look into the game at least once per day.

Could you write more info about the pirate-situation on the planet and general feeling of it? Our trio knows each other or they were working in other parts of the planet?

The camp has 10000 inhabitants so it is as likely that you all hardly ever worked together as it is that you worked as a team
