SWADE standard, except characters will be Veteran Seasoned (i.e., you'll receive 4 extra Advances after you've made standard characters).
This is romantic dark fantasy, so choice of Edges and templates should be appropriate. No firearms, please.
There will likely be combat, but that will not be the focus. Exploration, survival and 'people skills' will be leaned upon.
Races
From the SWADE book:
- Elves - these are vata'an (light vata) or vata'sha (dark vata).
..... Vata'an - as per SWADE Elves
..... Vata'sha as Elves but gain Infravision and a Hindrance Light Blindness *
- Humans - as per SWADE humans. There are multiple nations, Aldean, Jarzoni, Rezean, Kernish, but they have the same stats
Blue Rose Specific Races:
- Rhydan: A Rhydan is indistinguishable from a non-sentient animal. A rhy-wolf looks just like a wolf. As such, you will likely be unable to use tools or weapons, or be able to speak. You gain a form of psychic speech to talk to any being you can see that can understand words. Make a custom race with CANNOT SPEAK and a two-point Hindrance reflecting the lack of thumbs. You will gain natural attack modes appropriate to the creature. Your Strength should be limited to be appropriate to your form.
- Night-folk: These are basically half-orcs in other settings. You gain Infravision and a Hindrance Light Blindness *, and a free raise to Strength
- Sea-Folk - basically humans, except you can hold your breath for 5 mintues, and you gain a free raise in Athletics (i.e., it starts at a d6 instead of a d4). You gain a minor Hindrance in that you dehydrate easily.
* Light Blindness: -2 to all Perception reliant skills, including attacks, when exposed to bright light
