Hi all! This is thread for introductions and to discus character choices. As this is a Cinematic scenario characters are pre-generated. You will all form part of Charlie Team who have been assigned the task of tracking down a number of AWOL marines. Available Characters are as follows:

Welcome aboard everyone. I’m just giving things a few days to see if there are any more takers for the game the. Well start having a talk about character choices unless any of you guys have an ideas at the moment?

Chaplain is the characters name, they’re actually a synthetic (they’re open about the fact). I think it’s supposed to be a play on the fact the android in Aliens was called Bishop :)

I’ve put the call out to see if anyone else is interested but we should be looking to get things moving later this week

Ruth Dante seems good. Unless someone else, including our later joining players, wants to take her. Then I'd be perfectly happy with Luca Mason as well

Question though, if these are pregens, @mcneil5, do they come with ready-made quirks, personalities, motivations, etc.? Are we running in cinematic mode?

Yeah the PC's are all fully fleshed out - I'll get the details shared for each one by tomorrow. Some details will be public but for anything private I'll share that separately.

This is a Cinematic style scenario. For those not familiar with the system this is a play style that is pretty much contained to a single story as opposed to Campaign style which is intended for longer runs of multiple adventures, the latter being more character driven than plot driven. Each character gets a Personal Agenda that is largely secret, these agenda's can be quite varied and can intentionally lead to a certain amount of interpersonal conflict - an example of this is character of Burke in Aliens (the company rep on the mission) who in game terms would have had an agenda to return samples of the Xenomorphs to HQ and to hell with the consequences. These agendas can change as the game progresses (usually as we move from one Act to another) and there are certain rewards/boons for actively playing to advance your characters agenda. One thing I would say is if anyone starts to feel that the interparty conflict is getting a bit much due to conflicting agendas just to let me know and we'll see if we can manage the situation but this isn't the kind of game where everyone is expected to do what's best for the party over what's specifically stated to be in their characters best interests.

Great, right if everyone can add a Custom character to the game with just the name of the character you have chosen I'll edit it with the sheet I've worked up and the character photo.

Ok, Squadfather44 and Stefron I've updated the characters you submitted so you should be able to see them now. Just take a look and let me know if anything isn't too clear. Also worth noting there are a few elements of each of the characters that wouldn't be general knowledge, should be pretty obvious what I'm referring to in each case but might be best for people not to make their characters public to keep those things under wraps for the time being :)
