Well like I think I state some where -- its due to running currently 4 instances of this game with over 20 players input on things. I do not bawk at addressing guidelines having helped design several over the years. However, I do my best to keep the changes minimalistic and only add in things that enhance the game without creating more complexity. Now I state this because if there is something you have wanted to play but could not perhaps a version of that can be played here. The guidelines for the Artificer were meant for a player but they are unfinished at this time due to that player ghosting. So unless someone eventually expresses and interest in playing one or I bring one into play as an NPC those guidelines might take a while to complete.

Again if it interests you as a player, then it interests me as your GM to try and provide it. I started working on details for Herbalist, Alchemy, and Apothecary but that player ghosted and no one has seemed interested in that as of yet so have laid it to rest until later. I have not completed revising all the Backgrounds so if there is a Background you like for flavor reasons be sure to mention it and I will address it. This even includes perhaps backgrounds that currently do not even exist. I am about creating a fun balanced environment so let me know is fun for you and I will see what I can do and I am very serious about this last part.

Oh and do watch the other creation threads as questions may get asked that answer a question you have not thought to ask. Further I see this as a collaboration creation process -- so if you have any ideas about another person's character respectfully suggest them and do not be hurt if they do not use them. I make suggestions all the time that players do not see eye-to-eye on but all I am doing is throwing out ideas -- as they may like the idea and/or that idea might spark something else they had not thought about.

Well we have 2.5 characters done I think I will look things over this weekend as the 4th may have to join us later if they return to GP

Just to let you know where things are standing I am looking at bringing at least one other person into this game and had sent queries out to two players that had applied to the game without saying anything. Will have a better idea in a day or two as to the final outcome. I am also working on the submitted characters to go over what is in them but I usually do not let that stop me from starting the game.

Great. I'm okay with waiting for another player before starting the game if that's what everyone else wants to do.

Sounds good. Better to get rid of those who will be inactive now.

Yes that was what I wanted you to do just moving you to a new instance -- moved all your character creation information already -- so if you look its pretty much all there.

Just curious... Do we have an update for this game?

I plan to look this over on the weekend to see what the status is with everyone and to see if I start the introduction. I do not need everyone done by then but I need at least a solid start to things -- so I am hoping to get things started by then but I have not had a lot of time to look at the 2 new recruits even though one of them should just be a gloss over since they game from another game.

It's all in good fun. I'm sure we're allowed to create a new character if we end up dying of hypothermia due to lack of proper clothing, or starving to death because supplies ran out!

KirinOfDarkness if you look at Queni's outline for Personality that is what I need to see as those are the things along with alignment that get used with Inspiration

I figured you would want it more of a readable structure than just the number listed pulled straight from the book. I'll change it later. But it is strictly from the book

Well it does not have to be pulled straight from the book so-to-speak but listing things as Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws helps me at least understand how you envision it as part of you character. Thus helping to remove some of the guesswork for me.

Next back to the straight from the book -- your Traits (2+), Ideals (1+), Bonds (1+), and Flaws (1+) can be reworded in any fashion you choose as long as the basic understanding of what it does is fairly easy to apply. Thus you can use the books version as examples of how to write one of your own which I have done on occasion. Also keep in mind these Personality Aspects are what we are going to use to fuel your Inspiration Bank so the more of them you have not only helps to better define your character but also helps to make it easier to gain Inspiration Points. I usually have a minimum of 2 of everything but sometimes I have had as many as 5. It all depends on what you feel fits the personality profile you want to in-act as part of your character.

Okay just a heads up to you all -- this weekend was a nightmare sort-of -- they went live with something on Friday without testing it and of course I spent the weekend fighting the resultant fires it created looooong hours so was not able to do to anything this weekend my apologies.

That's terrible. Hope you've managed to put out the proverbial fires and got some rest!

I am not sure but I PM'd all three of them -- note that is not something I usually do but since the start was a bit slow I will give em the benefit of a doubt. However if I do not get answer in 3 days from now will assume they are not playing and I will work on getting some players.

However, feel free to continue forward we can just say they overslept or got tied up with something and will catch up to you two as soon as they can.

I will be without a computer for the next few days. I will try posting from my phone until then. Just FYI.

KirinOfDarkness when you rejoin us go ahead and start posting and we will get the rest sorted out as we go -- you just need a conceptual idea of who your character is at this stage and at the pace of a PbP we should have enough time to get things ironed out

Ghads apologies been fighting a series of unnecessary fires - which has been run but hell at the same time. Hopefully they will quit creating their own fires.

I would not be surprised if we lost half our starting crew -- which btw I would be happy to be surprised -- as that is kind of how things play out on PbP. I will give it the normal 3 day check in time frame to see where we stand and make adjustments from there.

Yes I continue games for those that wish to continue to actively play, I will either get more players or merge a player into another game where another player evaporated.

I'm still here, just had a busy few days.

Okay well that is at least 3 out of 5 -- and the group has arrived at the gate -- with actually no knowledge of where they ought to be heading to get to the garrison as you all forgot to ask for directions -- still there are a few guards present so perhaps one of them might help you ;)

Okay Queni to this I have to say a couple of things

I am running 4 instances of this game with about 20 players total, if I had to prod everyone of them that would be a chore. Which is also to say I am not needing to prod the other players since they are generally active and wanting the game to advance. Further my GMs do not need to prod me as I am interested in playing in their games and being respectful to my GM and the other players in that game.

Also I will remind you that the posting frequency you agreed to is 4 times per week which would literally mean you are expected to check in to see if you need to post about once every 4 / 7 = 0.57 days --or-- about once every 14 hours. However I am content with checking in once every other day but if I do not get a post 3 days after my last post, assuming your character is involved which they should be under most situations, I am going to start considering that you have chosen not to be respectful of the other players nor myself.

Now if you have a reason to be delayed please let us know so we can make adjustments for that but in the end please be respectful of everyone else's time and efforts that they are putting forth to be part of this game. Thank you.

The other two posted on 'June 25' while I was asleep. I didn't post until ''June 26' during the morning on the first instance I saw the posts. I honestly do not appreciate the attitude you treating me to. This Sunday I was called away to deal with a family matter, and I've only just gotten home.

By the way, the OOC was meant in a friendly tone. You could've handled this privately instead of calling me out in a public manner like a naughty child.

I think it's best for everyone if I withdraw from the game.

I responded to this in PM before seeing it here -- hopefully this is only a minor issue and we can get by it but we will see.

I think you misunderstood the reason for the public statement -- I was just making sure that everyone was aware of the full parameters as this is not the first time this has happened in one of the games. And each time I have handled it in this manner. My apologize if it offended you and I can make that a public apology if you like.

Again the intent was mainly to make sure that everyone in the game has the same expectations about posting rates and me as the GM poking them to make a post.

Again if you feel you must go, I will be sad to see you leave but if an apology on my part will help us get past this transgression I have no trouble doing so.

Please don't mind me, didn't realize I wasn't sub to this thread. If I don't post sometimes I just don't know what to do or say. If I should make a remark of some kind please let me know. I generally check twice a day or whenever I get an email that something was posted.
