Suggestions and Critiques

Apr 30, 2021 1:56 pm
I have made a few modules and they are pay what you want, I was hoping a few people from here would check them out and give me some tips, suggestions and maybe tell me how to better my products. The first in the series didn't do great, but much better than the second. At this moment, unsure if I am going to finish it or not.

The second module in the series.

Hey buddy,

That small caps font does my head in. I apologise, but I can't face reading page after page of that font.

The table of contents doesn't work very well. The baddies aren't linked within the document so that ToC is going to need to work for me to use it.

(I'm putting the ToC in a spoiler in case someone is planning on running this)

I don't have 7zip installed to look at the maps - so I can't comment on those (although I'd hope there are gridded and non-gridded versions).

Other than the maps, I suppose there's no art? I understand that navigating the licensing of images is tricky (and potentially prohibitively costly) - TBH I don't know anything about it - but I know I like pictures.

It's great to see someone having a go at publishing stuff though. I admire your ambition.

the 5e Players Handbook has only headings in uppercase and Libre Baskerville is the closest font match.

looks good, I may try running it and will give you further critique afterwards.

Thank you for the input. Yes, I include grid and no grid maps.

Adam, any zip program should work to open it.
