Pathfinder game for a small(ish) group

Hello,

I'm interested in running some Pathfinder, and I've seen a few posts by people were looking for a game. My idea is this, I want to set something in the region of Varisa for a homemade adventure. One thing I'd like to do with this is run a mixed group for levels 1-4. It would be a challenge for me as a GM to keep everything interesting for everyone.

I'll give preference to people who are curious about Pathfinder. So yes, new players are very welcome to sign up. I'm happy to help anyone who wants to learn the game.

I've had one person approach me about playing, and confirm their interest. I'm looking for a group of 4, so I'd need 3 more players.

All I ask is that you do not send me private messages asking to join the game. (If you really want to, go ahead, but otherwise just ask here in the forum.) Also, do not simply add yourself to the game without attempting to contact me first.

Once I've received confirmed interest then we can take it from there.

I'd be interested. Learning PF as a player would probably help me with the Castlevania... erm... I mean Ravenloft game I decided to convert to PF recently.

I think my biggest obstacle is that I don't know anything about Golarion.

To be fair, you don't need to know much about Golarion. I have one city in mind, and can present flavor text to reflect the PCs backgrounds. If you have the source material, cool. If not, it's no big deal. I can answer any questions. Depending on where you wanted your character to be from, Varisia could be a total unknown to your PC as well. Otherwise, I'm all for helping people learn. If you're interested, start thinking about what kind of character you'd like to play. You'd be a second player in the game. We'd need two more. One more to run it, though.

I've looked at PF and might even have a character in mind. How frequent are you wanting people to post?

Actually, I may already have a full group. And that's a little nuts, but I like the enthusiasm.

Since PF is mostly based on D&D 3.5, and I've noticed that the best way to learn to play D&D 3.5 is to start by playing a fighter, I'm thinking of making a straight fighter. How do we roll/purchase our attributes?

I sent out invites and created game threads. We can chat there. I'm open. I know what I like for my games, but not everyone shares my enthusiasm for "challenges".

By the time my current DnD 5e party was level 6, they'd encountered a Balor, a Kraken, a Lich, and a Revenant. Obviously they didn't straight up fight these things, but it's created a lot of memorable moments!

I hope they had good shoes on for all that running!

Oh yeah! They got out relatively unharmed :) A bit waterlogged when the Kraken took down their ship, but it was all good fun
