Direction of the adventure

Hey there,

we are currently at a point where I can steer the adventure in many different directions.
In order to get a feel for your preferences I'd like you to fill out the following ratings.
These represent how much of the mentioned topic you want to see in the game on a scale from 0 to 5.
With your help I can tune the game in a way that satifies the tastes of you all.
Just copy the following part and post your answers. If you want to mention something special you can add it to your post
Exploration: 0/5
Combat: 0/5
Social Interaction: 0/5
Puzzles/Riddles: 0/5

Puzzles/Riddles: 2/5

Annika is obviously pretty biased towards social interaction as a CHA-based character, but I've really enjoyed having the player characters interact with each other - everyone has really put thought and effort into giving their character a personality, and it shows!

Normally I'd rate puzzles and riddles much higher, but I don't think I could really pursue the solving of those problems in character. I'm not at all averse to having them in the game, and happy to just quietly crack them myself even if Annika can't be bothered.

Kinda biased on combat since my character has a very combative bakground...but I am willing to experience more of the other aspects of the game as well...

I like it all, but since you asked for preferences:
Exploration: 5/5
Combat: 4/5
Social Interaction: 5/5
Puzzles/Riddles: 4/5

I think puzzles and riddles are among the hardest things to do well in an RPG. The balance between not enough and too many clues is tricky.

I like puzzles, but I'm yet to see them working well in PbP format - they either go on for too long, or get solved almost immediately. (And intelligence is Melianne's second worst stat as well, if we are including character focuses...)
I don't mind an occassional riddle here and there, but definitely do not want them as the main theme. If we are going to reach the expedition's site, there probably will be some in the ruins... Just not too many, maybe? :D

And I love roleplaying social interactions, but in big character groups I start struggling when there is only talking for a long while, without anything else happening to split focus. So I'd prefer for them to be equal in importance with exploration, so they can intermingle with each other and have a good variety!

As for combat, I just want to try out more features of the system. And dance at all the opponents! :P
