Dead Celebrants
Crooked-Neck Élodie
The oldest ephemeral entity in the krewe, Élodie has been dead for more than a century. She is the ghost of an upper class woman from a prosperous family. After losing her children to the New Orleans yellow fever epidemic of 1905, a grief-stricken Élodie hung herself from the third-story balcony of her Garden District home. Since her death, she has searched fruitlessly for her son and daughter, refusing to accept that they have Passed On or ended up in the Underworld. She speaks with a French accent and is known to randomly cry and wail for her lost offspring. Though frequently distraught and forgetful, the shade can be quite capable at times, especially with wrangling the other ghostly celebrants or conducting Ceremonies. She is currently the only ghost in the krewe with the ability to Materialize.
In Twilight, Élodie appears as a tall, once-elegant French Creole woman wearing a nightgown seemingly soiled by dirt and tears. She is bare foot, pale-skinned, and raven-haired. Her most prominent feature is her broken neck, grotesquely distended by protruding shafts of bone that force her head to tilt to the right.

Dead Tony
Anthony "Tony" Rizzetti was a rebellious young greaser and petty criminal who died in a tragic motorcycle accident in the 1950s. As a ghost, he found himself Anchored to the bike that got him killed and the graveyard where he was interred. But even after death, Tony couldn't quite kick his former habits. He threw himself whole-heartedly into The Hustle, and "Dead Tony" (a nickname the ghost unironically gave himself) spent the next few decades shaking down fellow ghosts for Essence and Memories. His willingness to bully other shades got him noticed and recruited by a local yellow bones who used the greaser as an enforcer and Essence collector. When Tony's boss was eventually brought down thanks to the joint efforts of several Sin-Eater krewes, the greaser quickly realized that there were things more dangerous than ghosts dwelling in New Orleans. Wanting to be affiliated with the top dogs among the dead, Tony threw in with the first krewe that would take him.
In Twilight, Tony appears as an Italian-American youth with pale skin covered in tattoos and dark hair styled into a slight pompadour. He's dressed in the classic fashion of a '50s greaser: white t-shirt with rolled up sleeves, leather jacket, denim jeans, and blue suede shoes, and he smokes Cast-Off spectral cigarettes smuggled from the Underworld. He carries himself with the attitude-filled confidence of a young James Dean and tends to glide into rooms as though he owns them. Despite having died in a horrific crash, Tony's Corpus shows no signs of injury; he paid to have them Moliated away long ago. The ghost's rebelliousness and problems with authority have continued on after death, and Dead Tony is not above mouthing off to those in leadership positions. That said, Dead Tony is smart enough not to pick fights that he knows he can’t win, particularly when dealing with the Bound and Reapers.
One of Tony's Anchors, his motorcycle, was acquired by the krewe and restored to working condition. it stays in the krewe's headquarters. When needed, Tony can take possession of the bike and drive it around as though it were his body.

Roch
Ghost animals, known collectively as barghests by Sin-Eaters, don't tend last very long in the Material World. Most have no Anchors and subsequently get sucked into the Underworld once their Essence is used up. The few that manage to retain Anchors are prized as pets among both the dead and the Bound... assuming anyone is capable of taming such a creature. The phantom canine known as Roch is the shade of a female Newfoundland that is Anchored to the gravesite of her long dead owner. The krewe rescued her after hearing stories that St. Roch's Catholic Cemetery was haunted by a terrifying black ghost-dog. Not knowing what her original name is, the krewe named her after the cemetery in which she was found.
Roch is rare among barghests in that she displays an eerie degree of awareness (she's a Rank 2 ghost). Those who look into her eyes often describe a glint of sapience that is unusual for ghost animals. Although she is unable to take part in krewe Ceremonies, Roch has proven capable of following complicated directions and seems to understand human speech quite well. No one is certain why Roch is so smart. It might be her age (she's estimated to be almost a century old), or it could have something to do with how she passed away. Regardless, the krewe generally leaves her at the headquarters, where she serves as a guard dog. She is friendly and loyal to members of the krewe but can be gruff (bordering on hostile) to strangers.
In Twilight, Roch's Corpus is more than a little intimidating. As though ripped from the stories of the Black Shuck in English folklore, Roch appears as an unnaturally large black dog with glowing red eyes and trailed by mist. Most who first encounter the dog find her to be unnerving. Although Roch is fairly well-disciplined for an animal, she has a mind of her own and will disregard commands that she doesn't like. As with living dogs, she can be incentivized with treats (in her case, Essence). Currently, the barghest is able to exist outside of St. Roch's Cemetery by fettering itself to an object; it's using Max's touchstone as an Anchor.

Armand Bergeron
In life, Armand Bergeron was a resident of the Lower Ninth Ward who had the misfortune of picking up the wrong hitchhiker one evening. He remembers the flash of unnaturally long teeth and the feeling of his life being slowly drained from him. He remembers trying to fight back, but the stranger snapped his limbs as easily as a child snapping a twig. Afterwards, the stranger dumped what was left of Armand into the waters of a nearby cypress swamp.
Armand's remains were discovered shortly after his pickup truck was found. The subsequent investigation by police yielded no clues as to the culprit. Although his remains were properly interred in a cemetery, Armand was far from satisfied. In fact, he was seething with rage. He felt that his life had been robbed from him; that justice hadn't been served on his behalf.
Then came Hurricane Katrina. The flood waters of a swollen Mississippi River engulfed his cemetery and laid it to ruin. Ghosts by the dozens were dragged screaming into the Underworld as their Anchors were destroyed and washed away. Armand, however, didn't suffer the same fate, and he soon discovered why. The ghost had a second Anchor. In addition to his body, it appeared that Armand was also Anchored to the person who killed him.
Armand dedicated years to studying his murderer. He haunted the perpetrator: following him, watching him, studying his life. It soon became clear that his killer wasn't entirely human. He observed things that he couldn't explain and saw evidence of creatures that were the stuff of Cajun folklore. Vastly out of his depth, the ghost started seeking out those who could aid him. His Cajun roots gave him a healthy respect for Voodoo, and so it was that he eventually found the Crossroads Kings. He joined the krewe on the understanding that the Bound would help him find justice.
In Twilight, Armand appears as an emaciated, middle-aged man of Cajun descent with eyes so sunken they seem to have receded into his skull. The right side of his neck bears two small holes - bite marks - that perpetually ooze blood. His arms and legs are eternally broken; he walks with an irregular gait and his arms make a wet popping noise when he reaches or gestures for something. Armand has trouble speaking, as though he's too weak to manage the effort, and his voice comes out as a painful rasp. His accent is unmistakably Cajun.
