I think we're going to need to close the book on this release before I go too far.

I'd say that it'll be one biggie update (until v.2 comes up). Some might say that they're small details, but I strongly disagree.

This was getting big and worrying, if something breaks there is a lot to dig though to find the cause of the breakage.

I do find it a little counter-intuitive to get taken to the first post in a thread when I click in the title. Mostly I use the Front Page, and keep expecting that behaviour from other pages.

Do we not think the most common intent is to go to the last post (read or posted) when someone clicks on a thread? Should that not be the default? With a small "go to first" icon (possibly being the dice, possibly being something like the red page 'jump to last' we have) for the occasional time when we want to get to the first post and don't want to click again on first (which will eventually be at the top of the pages)?

You mentioned a test environment. I assume it's a mirrored site with these changes already made? Like gamersplane.test.com or somesuch? I'm sure plenty of people would participate in that.

Because of how domains work, it'd be the other way around (e.g. test.gamersplane.com), but yes - that's what I think will happen. It's up to Keleth really.
