You wake up with little to no memories of your past. You feel like you have been more powerful once, but you can't remember how to use your abilities.You discover yourself in a settlement with minimal production capabilities. You could ask them to produce you non magical equipment. I will not cost anything, but it will usually take time proportional to it's cost.
There are two groups if adventurers going into maze daily returning to sleep at settlement. Your group will be competing with them. They have been here for 2 days already but one group did not return last night. You arrived this morning by underground tunnels just as anyone else, but you can't go back.
There are 3 gates. Each group goes into their own gate and have to return by night. Because terrible things happen in maze during the night.
Main reason to go is food. Creatures in the settlement would be starving without the food that maze runners bring from the maze. But you will soon discover that it is possible to also find different equipment in the maze.
