Dramatis Personae

Here is a list of the many and strange (and sometimes terrifying) NPCs that the party has encountered thus far.

Chapter 1

---

Burly - A bugbear witchlight hand who runs security in the Staff Only area. He patrols the outer area while Thaco the clown (who he can't stand) patrols the inside.

Candlefoot - a young man cursed with no color. He joined the carnival and fell in love with Palasha, whose song can restore his color for a time. The two are estranged after he lost his voice during his proposal to her. He punches tickets at the Hall of Illusions.

Dirlagraun - An awakened displacer beast that minds children. Her cub, Star, is missing, and Reynard has been entrusted with Star's mirrored ball because he offered to help reunite the two. She minds the Lost Property stall.

Kettlesteam - A Kenku warlock who has pacted with the Archfey Zybilna, ruler of the domain of Prismeer. Kettlesteam has been causing trouble in the carnival in a bid to get the carnival owners to tell him what has happened. He is convinced they know. Currently at the Lost Mine awaiting the party's answers.

King Toot - A Loxodon clown and member of the Witchlight Carnival. He was originally a carnival hand who has risen through the ranks over his long career, and has now become a performer. He is also Jules' boss.

Mister Witch - one of the two owners of the Witchlight Carnival. He carries a watch with a replica of Isolde's Henge contained inside.

Mister Light - the other carnival owner. He caries the Witchlight Vane which measures and detects emotions in the carnival.

Nikolas Midnight - An elderly goblin that runs the ticket booth.

Northwind - A twelve-foot-tall treant sapling that hands out gifts and operates the corrals for the riding dragonflies.

Palasha - A merfolk singer and water bender who's voice is beyond compare. She is love with Candlefoot, but the two are estranged after he lost his voice during his proposal to her. She has beached herself behind the Hall of Illusions.

Red - An awakened squirrel that watches out for Northwind's acorns that hands out dandelions to make a wish.

Rubin Sugarwood - A halfling fairgoer that planned to propose to his sweetheart, Ween Sundapple, at the carnival. It did not turn out how he expected. But it worked out okay thanks to the PCs!

Star - Dirlagraun's cub, who is missing. Reynard has been entrusted with Star's mirrored ball as he offered to help reunite the two.

Tasha - A famous wizard who created the Tasha's Hideous Laughter spell. Beven recalled she is also known by the name Iggwilv the Witch Queen. There is a monument to her outside of the Hall of Illusions.

Thaco - The longest-serving Witchlight hand who now answers directly to Mr. Witch. His role is maintaining the security of the carnival owners. Dresses like a clown and has a bubble pipe, but talks more like a hardened criminal.

Vigo - A young boy who was in Dirlagraun's care, one of three siblings.

Ween Sundapple - A halfling fairgoer that became the victim of Tasha's Hideous Laughter at an inopportune moment by the Hall of Illusions. In a relationship with Rubin Sugarwood, now happily engaged :)

Zybilna - The Archfey Ruler of the domain of Prismeer

Chapter 2

Agdon Longscarf - The leader of the Harrengon brigands. You first heard about him here from Jebbek.

DeLorean - A giant snail. A faithful and sturdy, albeit slow pack animal. Rescued from Jebbek’s fluffle of brigands. First introduced here.

Jebbek - A leader of a small Harrengon brigand fluffle that attacked the party, looking to steal happy memories for Bavlorna. First introduced here, we fought them here, and answer from her interrogation begin here.

A goblin key collector. She speaks a lot in the third person and lives in a cave on Telemy Hill. She thought she was being tormented in her sleep, and it turned she was right. The party slayed the meenlock trio that beset her dreams. First encountered here.

Sir Talavar - A Faerie Dragon in service of Titania, the Summer Queen. He came to Prismeer to negotiate assistance from Zybilna in the Formorian war but was captured by the Hourglass Coven and imprisoned in Bavlorna Blightstraw’s stronghold, Downfall. Wigglewog the Bullywug helped him escape in one of Bavlorna’s balloons, but they were downed by an air elemental, and Wigglewog died in the crash. Talavar was locked in a silver cage that required a silver key to unlock. First introduced here.

Wigglewog - a Bullywug in service of the Soggy Court and Bavlorna Blightstraw. He turned against his masters and tried to help Sir Talavar escape their clutches, only to die when their balloon was grounded by an air elemental. First introduced here.

Tsu Harabax - A human Druid and old acquaintance of Quennan's. She operates Inn at the End of the Road and has an owl familiar named Whoolio. First encountered here. She was full of useful knowledge and let you know details about Bavlorna, about how Zybilna is frozen in time with the use of Iggwylv's Cauldron. It was during this conversation that Beven recalled that the cauldron could be destroyed by a Frostbrand or Flametongue weapon. THE LEAGUE OF MALEVOLENCE

Introduced to the party by Tsu Harabax in this post, the League of Malevolence was hired by the Hourglass Coven to cut off all the Unicorns' alicorns. She said, "The League of Malevolence is a nasty bunch. Avoid them if you can, and if you can't - hold nothing back. Gather 'round the fire and i will show them to you." She introduced their members:

Skylla, a warlock, draws her magic from a pact with Baba Yaga herself.

Warduke, a remorseless killer-for-hire. They say none alive today have ever seen his face.

Zarak, an assassin without honor or conscience.

Zargash, a priest of Orcus, who spreads death, decay, and undeath in his name.

And lastly, Kelek, the founding member of the League. He is a narcissistic, sociopathic sorcerer who revels in chaos. Also known as the Shining Man, with personal connections to Sarynn.
