I'm still new to pbf and probably reinventing a wheel, but here is how I want to try to run this:
1. You do not need to do any roll when you describe your character action. A lot of actions will auto succeed or auto fail.
2. I will name the skill you have to check if I can't understand if this should fail or should pass
3. If you really want to roll, you may do pure Wisdom(to do something smart)/Intelligence (to remember something)/Charisma (for social interaction) - without proficiency. I have access to your sheets and could add proficiency if relevant.
Note that every Int checks will require you to touch the object and hold it for a minute to try to recall info about it. That's because your memories are gone.
