In life, it was about survival. In death, it's about war. Assigned to build and maintain machines of war, Allyk worked day and night in Brill. His monotonous life was interrupted one day when the dreadlord Varimathras, second in command to Sylvanas Windrunner, delivers several large chests to Allyk and commands him to plumb their depths, reporting any and all discoveries useful to the Banshee Queen and her Forsaken. It was here that Allyk discovered a blueprint for a device that should not fall into the wrong hands. The time was now or never. Allyk knew he must leave that very night.

Varimathras stalks out, the undead wretches having deposited their heavy burdens following quickly behind. I sit up and stretch until I hear vertebrate pop, not that my muscles suffer fatigue but some habits do not break as easily as others. Placing the pen back in the ink well set into the desk before me, I glare down at the blueprints that will allow "our" catapults to fire some near-meaningless percentage faster.
Standing up, I open the first heavy chest as a cloud of dust puffs up from the long ignored plans. Stacks soon form as I make a stack of each category, pulling out the odd blueprint that looks like it's more unique than the rest. Before I've even noticed it, night has fully embraced the land and I'm surrounded by piles of blueprints.
The physical effects of nerves no long bother me, one of the few perks of my new unlife, but my mind still reels as I read and re-read the blueprint held in my hands. "The Forsaken can NOT be allowed to create this device" My loyalty was already on shaky ground but these past.....months? have hardened my resolve to escape. Now with this discovery, I can not put it off any longer.
I run over to the alchemical station and begin mixing together reagents and chemicals until i have a bomb large enough to hide my escape. Rushing around I gather my few possessions and a handful of blueprints along with this new terrible one. Stuffing these plans down my shirt I rush out of Brill and into the night shortly before a massive explosion rocks the small outpost.

You stalk through the forests of Tirisfal Glades with its trees of sickly purple, withered bark. The region has grown wild since the Third War so that any clearing means a road or a settlement. The magically altered sky glows a swirling blue above you. Were you still human, the might have bothered you. Your time here though has made you accustomed to all this as well as the mists wafting through the trees. Once far enough away from your distraction, you gather your bearings and consider your destination. Where would a lone undead defecting from the Forsaken go?

A hiss of frustration escapes my lips as I keep moving, trying to put as much distance between myself and any potential pursuit as I can. A shadow passes over me, looking up I see the Goblin zeppelin returning from Kalimdor to pick up the next batch of passengers. "Forsaken might be unknown across the sea, but if as much of it is as unexplored as I believe..... I should be able to hide until I can figure out what to do next." With a plan now in mind, I continue on toward the zeppelin tower trying to look as unassuming as I can. Behind me an undead squirrel chitters angrily at my back, upset at being disturbed by my out loud wondering.

The plagued trees thin into a clearing, the air dock looms before you. You see the zeppelin slowly approach the dock as ropes are thrown around in order to secure the ship.
Climbing the spiraling stairs, you come to a desk with a goblin reclining in his chair. Upon seeing you, and judging by your demeanor you are not a mindless minion of the Scourge, he excitedly sits up. "Welcome! Welcome my friend! What can I do for you?"
After discussing the need for passage to Kalimdor, you're told that the zeppelin that just arrived will resupply and depart tomorrow. You're given the option to wait in the lounge, for a nominal fee of course.
