[Interest][5e] LMoP with Alternative Story?

Hey guys, I've been thinking about running a game. I figured I'm a PC in enough and wouldn't mind being a DM. Im most familiar with LMoP, though Im fairly new to DnD in general. Less than 1 year experience. But, I dont want to run another LMoP game with the standard storyline. I'm thinking of having the PCs be on the other side of everything. Maybe a bandit crew/mercenaries working for the big bad guy, you guys would have your own agenda maybe.

I DONT KNOW! Just looking for interest and have you guys bounce some ideas off of.
