Having difficulty interpreting the rules for "Terminal Reflection", do I expend effort at the beginning of the day so it can trigger? Or do I expend effort after it triggers?

No. It automatically triggers. You then Commit Effort or the sense goes numb and you can't use it that day.

"The psychic’s Oracle power automatically triggers as an Instant action moments before some unexpected danger or ambush, giving the precog a brief vision of the impending hazard. This warning comes just in time to avoid springing a trap or to negate combat surprise for the precog and their companions. Which makes it super good, because you don't have to know in advance you just have to have some effort available.

Apologies for the delay there, not ghosting you just dealing with some emergency repairs at home and the construction process has me overseeing workers while my PC is covered in plastic to protect it from dust. Will get back on track asap, likely after the weekend.

Hey guys, are we waiting on something ?

We're waiting on me, apologies for keeping you up. I haven't ghosted you or anything, in fact I've come five or six times here already but nothing ever seems to come out when I try to type. Life has gone a bit crazy as of recent and although I'm also slow to post in other games I'm participating in, I do manage to get something up there so I know it's not writer's block here. Apparently my mind right now is only able to handle being a player or running something pre-written but not something completely of my own creation. Thus, I'm afraid I have to concede defeat and let this game be. Again, apologies for letting you all down. I really wanted this to be a thing and it looked promising, but despite my best efforts, it's just not happening. Hopefully I can re-visit Stars Without Number in the future and do it -and you, if you're still around and interested- justice.

No worries. Self care first and foremost. Would love to play with you in the future.

I love the idea of a sandbox SciFi game but don't have the bandwidth to run one at the moment. Hopefully one day!
