Windyridge says:
The contrast is very minimal in the roller box. Any chance of improving that? Same for the text box. Just a little more contrast would make it easier for the eyes. Or maybe I just have bad eyes. 😒

This is for desktop, not mobile.

Not sure I agree that this is a problem.

I'd have to see a different option to decide what's better in my opinion. But if some people are struggling with this, might be a sensible adjustment.

Just maybe a move to a lighter shade for the boxes. I just checked my phone too and it's similar. But only if it's an easy fix. In the scheme of things, it's not that important. A small quality of life tweak for the user is all it is.

Yea, I'm not opposed to it. If someone's struggling with the way the colors are now, even just a bit, then that should take priority over just some aesthetic questions. So unless a fix is really ugly (or complicated to implement, of course), it's probably a good idea.

I find myself wondering if this is not the fault of of background image that has been selected for that game. I find quite a few games hard to read because of those backgrounds.

With no background I had thought the contrast level to be fine.

Really? The opaqueness of the thing in the center means that I've never been bothered by the background before. Unless someone layers two backgrounds like @CESN did one time, I don't really see the background image to be a problem

More: 'contributing factor' than 'problem'.

But they definitely do lower the contrast.

it's trivial to change the colour. I have no strong feelings about it.

If someone wants to give me directions on this then I'll check a change in. Maybe try out colours in the CSS editor or take a poll or something?

Yeah. The people who are struggling need to say which bits are the problem. Accessibility is hard for the able-bodied.

If you make the text boxes a tad lighter that should work. They are too close to the background color. Like move more towards grey but not too much or you defeat the purpose of dark. This would include any drop-down menus too.

Would that not make the contrast on the text harder to read?

Should we not, maybe, make the background darker instead of lightening the boxes.

Also: Is this a problem when there is no image background?

Would a border help?

Yes that helps and solves it.

@Windyridge - as vagueGM said, the sign off of accessibility issues needs to be evaluated by those who have the difficulty.
