Problem creating character

Ok so I am creating a custom character. I input all the text press save and none of the text saves.. The avatar saved. I repeated the process twice with the same results. If it helps I am working from my cell using android 8.1.0 and chrome version 95.0.4538.74

If anyone has similar issues and a work around that would be great

While I'm not part of the trouble-shooting team, I think it would be important to stipulate if you created a custom character, or if not, which character sheet did you tried using. That might help them zero-in on the problem faster...
And yeah, I did had a somewhat similar problem with the old Deadlands Classic character sheet once.

are you using any special characters like these buggers? They can mess up your text as they are treated as code

I was using some code [b] [i]
And also used some * - and : to distinguish text

Those shouldn't really cause trouble...

A direct link to the sheet would be a useful tool, go to my characters and make sure that the third icon over is red, then go to the sheet and copy the link.

If you'd like to get to work on your character I'd suggest creating a new sheet if you haven't already tried that.
Label your sheet using whatever format you'd like and then hit create this should bring you to the blank sheet.


From This Blank sheet make sure you fill in the characters name then put something in the text box perhaps use load template as it may be what your trying to enter that has a bug, and try saving that if that works you can get rid of the template and put in whatever it is you'd like and see if that saves properly.

Can you save anything into your character sheet?

The only thing that was saved was the avatar. All text entered into the text block was not saved. When I ger a chance I will try a whole new blank custom sheet and see how that behaves. It might be a somensort of glitch on my end. I will report back

Just try to write one or two words into the sheet maybe and try to save that. I assume there was something in what you tried to write that caused the issue but it can't hurt to check out if it's something about the sheet itself somehow

Also, it could be useful if you paste your sheet here in a [spoiler] or so, just in case there's a weird character that we already noticed before (as mentioned by runekyndig)

Make sure the name box is filled, too, before you click save. That can cause that sort of problem.

I completely deleted the character and began again using the same procedures and the glitch did not reoccur. So another gremlins has gotten bored and disappeared into the cybersewer.
