Interest Check: All-New New Exiles (Marvel)(QW)

So here's my budding synopsis: an all-new Exiles (well, an all-new new Exiles).

If you're not familiar, here's the wikipedia page.

Players would "consist of characters from different universes, or realities, which have been removed from time and space in order to correct problems (often called "hiccups") in various alternate worlds and divergent timelines in the Marvel Multiverse."

It took me until now to realize that you're referring to the bronze age of comics and not the historical bronze age. I was wondering why everyone was just brushing past that twist to the superhero genre without comment 😄

Just watched a Youtube review of Questworlds (formerly Heroquest), and I'm very intrigued! Sounds like a potentially great system for PbP (be it superheroes or anything).

Minor addendum

a) I have a random character generator based on TSR's MSH FASERIP for those in a nostalgic mood or yearning for a thing long past that is in the middle of production, a PDF I will make available to anyone who is interested. In all probability I will base this campaign's character sheets on the beloved FASERIP framework (except for primary abilities), including terms like 'powers', 'talents', and 'contacts'.

b) For those who are interested in a supers or takes-place-in-a-supers-universe game but would rather play a character pulled from somewhere else in the omniverse, I'm sure we can work your idea into play.

Ok. I've briefly read some of the SRD and I'm committed now. A while ago I was building a similar system but hit some creative blocks. Glad to know I had some ideas that worked and someone else was able to get it to come together. This looks fun.

If you can still take more, I'd be interested. I might be out of my depth if you're expecting lots of lore knowledge, but I love the genre.

You're in if you're interested. I feel like the campaign/operating world I have in mind will handle quite a few players. No need to be a Marvel savant, even a genre know-it-all; I hope to press against the boundaries in terms of musty, superseded storylines, do a little new mythos exploration. That said, I'd love to stick within Marvel's late Bronze Age, early Modern Age.

Yeah, I'm not looking to roll in with MCU characters. I just am going to be RPing not having meta-knowledge very well, lol.

FYI, I'm kind of partial to the XMEN, so I'll probably go the mutant route, if that's cool with you.

I was considering this as my character pitch. I'm on board for an Exiles game.

I will do some reading and post a character concept here if you want. Feel free to give feedback. I started reading the info on the system, but I have never used this system and would be appreciative of feedback.

I should mention that I will also be running a Marvel Super Heroes (TSR) FASERIP campaign in the near future, if anyone is interested.

I'll have a random power/concept generator available soon, one tailored to this campaign.

Essentially what it encompasses is random character concepts (like species, backgrounds, occupations, quirks) and/or powers or distinguishing abilities. You're free to roll or pick a few random numbers and see if your results inspire the semblance of an intriguing character. There will be an accompanying column of established Marvel denizens you are free to use and add into the mix as well or to use as a "foundation" for your Exile.

It will be a simple, straightforward PDF.
