New to PbP, but need to feed my RPG addiction!!!

Hello Everyone,

I'm a 33 yr old father of two who is DMing/GMing three different games, but wants to actually be a player in a game. I have two different D&D 5e games one with my friends and than one with one of my son and my buddies son and his two boys. I also have a long running Star Wars Edge of the Empire campaign going. I love rpgs but unfortunately if I want to play I have to be the DM/GM, while this is great, I'm kinda wanting to be just be a player in someone else game.

I heard about this website on the DMB and decided to give it a try.

I'm actually a bit worried, as a lot of people have come in, being DMs in real life, looking to play (which makes perfect sense, don't get me wrong). Hopefully the DMs here can keep up with the load, and I'll have to up my DM recruitment!

5e and SWFFG is definitely popular here, you're bound to find a game you like! Plus other systems popping up all the time.

I have never played that system before but I'd be interested in giving it a try.

the second edition is currently being released. backers are getting a PDF copy of the core book this week and it'll be out for PDF retail next week I believe.

do you like high adventure? classic action movies such as the ones the starred erroll flynn? are you a fan of the golden age of piracy? magic? well, 7th sea is the game of swashbuckling and sorcery! you'll love it!

I'd be very interested in it but i dont have the money to buy another Core Rule Book right now. It looks right up my alley, i just dont have the funding because my OCD would kick in and I'd want to own all the books.
