New Players? They probably want DRAGONS! (5e)

So I recently got the Rise of Tiamat adventure book that I'm looking to run, but it starts at like level 8. So I thought to myself, with the influx of new people, I wonder if there would be interest in the first adventure. Hoard of the Dragon Queen, that would roll into Rise of Tiamat. The Tyranny of Dragons is coming to Gamersplane.

Anyone interested?

This would preferably be for those new to GP, but it always helps to have a couple of experienced people. I would like to keep the group scaled down to about 4-5 people.

I'd be interested. I assume this is 5e? I'm not new to GP but I'm only in one game at the moment. Quality not quantity ;-)

HotDQ starts at 1 and ends around 8, which is where Rise of Tiamat starts. That one ends around 15. Both use a milestone system of leveling so no need to track individual XP.

Nice, I'm in if there's still room. I'm thinking shadow monk. Haven't played more than two one-shots before, so it'll be interesting to see how long-form play works ^_^

I've sworn not to sign up for any more games, and this was even before the influx of new members (which was another reason not to sign up - to give them a chance to get in on the action), but I've always wanted to play this storyline and so I'v been waiting for someone to run it.

I wonder though if you'd let someone join later (perhaps when you go into Rise of Tiamat)?

Of course. It would be good to have another familiar with both GP and 5e in on the game just in case Jabes. I have one spot left, but if someone else joins in before you hop on I'll let them take it.

Alright, the game filled up. Seems like there is even more of an influx of new players than I had thought. I'm already pushing the adventure over the normal party size for it by a tad so I will have to keep the number closed, but it seems there are new games popping up every day here. After the full run of the Tyranny of Dragon's I'll probably run it again, I'm loving what I see in these books so no doubt I will want to run it again afterwards.
