[CLOSED] Alight - PF1e

I'm looking for players for a Pathfinder 1e campaign set in a world where the bad guys have already won. The player characters represent the first real resistance to the evil that is control of the kingdom. The game is high fantasy - a struggle between light and dark - and the setting is meant to be dark and depressing. Some mature themes will be explored (think of it as rated R). There are a couple of house rules built in to represent the player characters' effect on the world (and the world's effect on them), giving some light kingdom-building elements to the game. The game will be a sandbox, with no main story arc to follow.

The campaign will begin at level 1. There are a very small number of classes which are disallowed (Occult classes and Gunslinger), but otherwise all Paizo-published material is up for grabs. The game will be combat-light, since PbP games tend to bog down with a lot of combat.

The post schedule is expected to be twice per week. It may move faster as everyone is available, but the post frequency is intended to allow players to keep up with the game despite busy schedules in real life.

I'm looking for players who want to explore and have fun together. Please apply if you're interested, and we'll talk about what kind of game you're looking for. I'm hoping to find 5 players who want to help each other have the best experience possible and want to play the heroes faced with impossible odds.

Always interested in pathfinder 1e, and I am all for a game that is more role-playing focused, trying to get by and help in a n not great world. I always have some pathfinder concepts on the backburner, and a few would definitely fitting of a light vs dark game. (The one currently in mind is a unicorn blooded sorcerer, but there are definitely others as well.)

Edit: A quick query would be if it would be paizo deities or homebrew (mostly out of curiosity)

I am on board! I have a fair amount of experience with Pathfinder and love sandbox games. Your campaign setup seems like a good time.

Can I convince you to make an exception for the Occult Class Kineticist? It's how the Warlock is meant to be played and balanced against it so it won't be anything crazy or new. I've never had a chance to play one, I would really like to.

I'm considering a vigilante, as I've never gotten to play one. It seems a good fit on one hand (since this will be a high RP game) but maybe not on yhe other hand (sandbox setting).

Does your world have nobility? It could be interesting having a minor lord's son or something, going around the countryside with a vigilante alter ego.

Do you have any thoughts on whether this class would work well in the campaign you have in mind?

I am interested in joining this campaign. I am especially interested in playing with the highlighted points of your pitch in mind. To me, finding a group that works well together and whom are all respectful of each others rights to take center stage, so to speak, in turn are important to my having fun. I have recently left a game that allowed one or two of the group's players to rattle on for pages and pages of posted dialog while the rest of us had to wait for weeks to get a word in edgewise. I don't want a repeat of that situation, but given that I now have a free slot in my games' lineup, I am hoping to join in to this campaign and not have that situation repeat itself.
