[IC] Kids on Bikes

Now that I have binged Stranger Things Season 4, Vol 1, I am really in the mood for this kind of horror game again.
If there is enough interest, I will set one up in the next few days.

I have ran and played Kids on Bikes in play by voice before, so I know the system very well.


The Game System and Rules Version.
Kids on Bikes.

The Pitch.
Do you like Stranger Things? ET? Goonies? Fear Street?
Do you like to play a bunch of kids / teens in a very narratively driven system that will take you back to Small Town USA in the 70's-90's in a horror setting? Then you might like Kids on Bikes.
We'd begin by collectivelly setting up a town together and put our characters in it. From there, who knows where the adventure will take us.

Other than D&D, Kids on Bikes is far less "the GM is absolute" so it will be a fun collective horror story!

Adult Content or Controversial Themes.
Horror, perhaps violence.

Character Restrictions.
Kids on Bikes comes with certain "Tropes" which you can use to make characters (Loner Weird, Brilliant Mathelete, Scout etc...). These are templates, blue prints, examples. No need to stick to those. Characters are all regular teens or kids though.
I do hope for a good variety of characters (Loner Weirdo's tend to be super popular in KoB).

Game Duration and Post Frequency.
The game will generally be episodical adventures. I'd hope everyone can post once every 48h at least. Of course, real life comes first.

Specialized Software and Resources.
Nope. All will be here on GP.

Player Experience Requirements.
None. The rules are quite simple.

How to Apply.
Any one, how you identify yourself or what group you belong too, can apply.
Just express your interest in the game for now. If you already have an idea for a character, please feel free to share.

This is exactly my kind of game, so I'd love to play in this one!

As for tropes, I'm flexible, but I'm kind of thinking of playing a popular/rich girl

ha! This is one of my favourite genres too (and I am GMing a similar Savage Worlds-based game at the moment).

Trying it as a player would be new for me, though: so I'll register my interest too.
But I am happy to let others newer to the genre experience it first, in case you get lots of applicants. Consider me part of a reserve force.

Thinking I would play the clown of the group - maybe the closest Trope would be the Funny Sidekick?

I would really like to play if you have an opening. I got this game way back when it was being kickstarted, and read through it, but never found a group that wanted to play. It would be my first time as a player.

I just noticed a paradox. Will there be a session in this thread, where the Kids on Bikes play D&D? Would that upon a Russian doll or play-loop of playing. A forum playing an RPG of kids playing an RPG?
