[Full] 18XX Richelieu + Feint-Strike-Parry

I'd like to play Diego Barreto's 18XX Richelieu, using my own Feint-Strike-Parry as a fencing minigame within that setting.

I feel like themes, setting, etc. are evident from looking at the game's itch page.

As in any of the games I run, please indicate interest only if you understand (1) the importance of how your words and behaviors might affect other people; and (2) your inability to fully understand anyone else's worldview and context. In other words, I only want to play with people who know how to be respectful and caring and cautious with others' feelings.

Oh this sounds very interesting indeed. Take others first though. If you need a spot filled after that please count me in.

I love unique Rpgs like this. I would love to play.

I'd love to see theFeint-Strike-Parry rules in action, and I'm a big fan of the old Flashing Blades RPG (although this is a different timeline).

I could play a shorter term game (3-4 months). Any idea of how long this would last approximately?

I'm thinking of this as a one-shot. My experience with those in forums play is that they last about 3-4 months with daily posting. E.g., I'm going on 18 months with my longest running game, and it has incorporated so far two dungeon crawls, four roleplay interludes, and two significant combats. It's a one player game, and the posting has been sporadic (only about once a week) for the past six months, but in that time we've gotten through two of the interludes and one major combat.

18XX will have less rolling than the Tunnel Goons derivative I'm using for that long-running game -> I think that a 3 month one-shot is fully feasible with frequent posts by everyone.

I am interested to try this. Sounds like a fun period and would be interesting to learn a new system. Appears to be pretty light weight and lots of space for RP.

For is probably too many, but if you need a warm body, I'd love to play.

One other question: will this be a public game? If it's public I'll cede my spot to someone else since you have several folks interested and I'll just follow the game to see how combat works. If it's private, then I'd like to play if you have a spot :-).
