I'm looking to see if there is anybody who is interested in trying out a oneshot duet of The Hour Between Dog and Wolf. As per the game's rules, we would be taking turns as GM about every other scene.

The Hour Between Dog and Wolf is a duet game which pits a flawed hero against a vile serial killer. The Hero struggles to balance their obsessive desire for justice with their emotional and moral stability, while the Killer tries to outsmart and manipulate the Hero while battling their own dark desires.

Essentially, The Hour Between Dog and Wolf falls in the serial killer drama genre of media, in which the hero and killer play a cat and mouse game with each other, all while falling into a ruin of their own making. Touchstones include Se7en, American Psycho, The Fall, etc.

Being serial killer drama, there are controversial themes, such as graphic depiction of murder and sexual themes. The game is designed to explore that darkness from a safe distance, so I'm open to whatever safety tools are useful, as well as toning down descriptions as necessary. However, being somewhat uncomfortable is part of the game's conceit, so take that into consideration when considering your interest.

I'm giving this interest check a single bump just in case, but not much interest so far.

I was lurking aroind to see if you find anyone so then I can ask to be an observer, but since there is no one yet... Maybe I can join you? I love duet games and plots revolving around morality, and the premise made me think of Death Note, which I greatly enjoy.

Unfortunately I don't have a book, and I also won't be very fast to post. But if that's all okay, I am up for playing! :)

Shoot I'm game to play. Sounds dark and twisted. Right up my alley.

Flying Succulent, I sent an invite to you.

Jomsviking, if there's another opportunity in the future, I'll let you know. If anybody else has interest in playing in the future, please post here so I can give you priority should I decide to run another game.

Hey everyone, I'm the game designer. Thanks for showing interest in my game. I think a lot of people get scared off by the subject matter not realizing that the graphic themes of the game are highly variable. The last time I played, the killer was an alien made of space dust and the hero was a maintenance worker at a mining facility which was unknowingly stealing the alien's food source. If I recall correctly, only one person was actually killed. You really get out what you put in

Feel free to hit me up with any questions.

@Mattgwinn, hi, it's really cool to see the dev themselves here! I already took a look at the rules, and I want to say that I especially love the sound of your Framing Table system, it seems like a very interesting tool for inspiring scenes. Excited to actually get to use it! :D

Hey, it's neat seeing you here! I like how informative the book is on the topic without being overwhelming, it felt very natural to read.

Do you happen to have any particular tips for playing a character that might end up having more technical knowledge than you possess personally? I was thinking of playing a medical examiner for thematic purposes, but my medical knowledge isn't quite up to snuff.
