The scenario takes place on Sunday, June 21st, 1931 in Providence, Rhode Island in Ma Shanks’ Boarding House. The boarding house is a three-story building, positioned at the edge of Federal Hill, near to the Italian neighborhood.
Prohibition is still in force, with the sale of alcohol illegal. The effects of the Depression are kicking in and everyone is hard pressed trying to make ends meet.

The boarding house is home to various immigrants to Rhode Island, as well as the landlord (one of the investigators) who cooks the meals and runs the place.
There is a kitchen, dining room, large parlor, and storage on the first (ground) floor. A basement has a place for doing laundry. The second floor has four guest rooms and a bathroom (accommodating three of the investigators, as well as one larger room shared by the Skirgaila family), while on the third floor are Ma Shanks’ rooms (the building’s owner), the Landlord’s room, James Gardiner’s room, and Mrs. Madeira’s room

Looking to run another Call of Cthulhu 7ed 1920s one shot for players new to the game. I've not yet decided what the scenario would be but looking for at least 3 players that haven't tried the game before. express your interest below

I’d be interested. I’ve never played CoC but I’m interested in the 1920’s Lovecraftian setting. I think it might be cool to play an surrealist artist if that would fit your game.

I would be interested, I've never played Call of Cthulhu any of the editions. Would I need to own any of the materials to be able to play? If so then I probably can't join at the moment.

No, you won’t need any materials, I guide players through all they need to know. There a free to download starter pdf available from Chaosium, if you really wanted a flavour of the system.

Superb! As we have four of you, I will be running Dead Boarder, a neat little demo scenario. It should last no longer than a month, assuming you are all able to post once a day. The scenario is set a little later than traditional CoC, in June of 1931 during the Depression.

I will leave the interest check open a few days more, if anyone that is an experienced player that hasn't played Dead Boarder and would like to take part, you are free to express your interest below.
