I've setup private threads for each of you with your character details. Let me know if you need help setting up your sheets. Meanwhile, Phil and Lucky need to choose their characters.

It took a little while to set up the character sheet with all the skills but inputting the data provided the opportunity to familiarize myself with "The Bookstore Owner" i.e. Humphrey Morris.

Here's a brief descriptor:

Most people in the building are familiar with Humphrey the portly Bookshop Owner. His bushy walrus style mustache and round rim spectacles give him a distinct appearance. Personally, he fancies that he bears a resemblance to the president Teddy Roosevelt. Certainly as a child he was fascinated by the tales of the president's exploits as the great man hunted dangerous prey around the world. Humphrey has never gone on any great adventures himself. The furthest he's travel from Rhode Island is New York city to search for old and rare books. Perhaps, that's part of the appeal of books to him. A whole world can be held in the pages of a good book. There is nothing Humphrey would rather do than spend an afternoon in a comfortable chair reading a good book and dreaming of the places it takes you. You can go anywhere in your dreams.

A brief description of Edith Costa (Landlady):

Edith is in her early to mid thirties and widowed and runs the property for Ma Shanks, the property owner. She is a tall, broad woman with mousy brown hair worn in a bob. She's not attractive, but not ugly. Plain would be a good adjective and if she wasn't so chatty, wallflower would probably also be a good one too. She tends to blend into the background when she's not talking about her 11 year old son, Tommy, and three cats, which you probably would remember the name of if you paid attention to her carrying on about them. She's friendly with all of the boarders and tends to visit in when she collects rent or tends to a maintenance problem, but if you notice her away from your apartment you see her most often visiting at Mrs. Madeira's and James Gardiner's apartments.

I don't need help, but it's been a bit tedious transferring everything over. The CoC character sheet isn't a perfect fit. No worries! I'll be done before I go to bed tonight.

John Grishim - The Nosy Neighbor

John is a 26-year-old accountant who spends most of his free time camping. He is a quiet man with quiet hobbies, once making a wooden train set for Tommy the landlady's son. As a German immigrant post The Great War, John does his best to keep a low profile and deflect conversation about where he was during the war. He doesn't talk a lot but is at every social engagement, always willing to help if someone is having a package delivered, or willing to put together furniture. When John does talk he sounds almost like a salesman, bartering his small favors for information about the other boarders lives. He most certainly knows the names of all of Mrs. Costa's three cats and asks after them every time he sees her. John has purchased and read Good Hunting: In Pursuit of Big Game in the West by Theodore Roosevelt from Humphrey just to better understand the bookseller and his desire for adventure.

Sorry about that! The alternative would be to paste the thing in as an image but having the numbers is better in the long run (especially for those learning the site). Note you only need the base skill numbers, the hard and extreme we can calculate on the fly.

Good job on the characters so far, looking great!

I've amended one thing on all your sheets and that's max Sanity. this starts at 99 and one of the key elements of the game is a skill you don't have yet, Cthulhu Mythos. As your Mythos score increases (through reading tomes, experiencing monsters etc) your max sanity reduces. Your current Sanity (equal to your POW at the beginning of your character's adventuring life) will also reduce as you experience things but can also go up for completing scenarios (as well as other things you can do during a campaign, like visiting a therapist etc)

Katerina Skirgalia - "Kathy" to her American acquaintances - is a young woman, very used to fending for herself, but not successful in doing so. She needs to support her family, and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect them and make a better life for them. That's why they came from the Old Country, isn't it?

@Thalanthalas and @ArrowedAgain Can you apply an image to your character? A lot of players use 1920's portraits from the net.

Mine should be done as well. I can’t double check to know for sure at the moment but if it’s not there I’ll get it done today for sure.
