Here are some common pbp (play by post) practices:

Regular plain old text is mainly used for narrative
Bold text ( coloured or not), is usually used for character direct speech, either in quotation marks or not.
Italics are usually used for character thoughts, again with or without quotation marks.

Hey guinea pigs players, here's some little thing I wanted to share with you: making a long post isn't obligatory.
Not all things are meant to require a 32-page reply. Having been in that place, it's better to just post something that shows you have seen the last posts and moves the scene forward than struggle to be elaborate and stall or get a writer's block.

Let us know if you need a hand with character creation or using the custom GP sheets. I have browser extensions that let me quickly copy/paste BBCode from DnDBeyond into character sheets, so give me a shout if creating your character becomes daunting.

Actually, I do need some help. I started a human cleric based on the link in the PC Creation thread... but the area of the spells disapeared!!
You should be able to access it, right?

It seems I messed somehow one line of the programming when trying to write the details of the weapons, or something around it.

@Cathamber I can see the spell area alright really.

You might want to move your spells under your spellcasting section, for quicker access (but that's just me).
I think you've confused spell slots though. Cantrips aren't supposed to consume spell slots.

I'm still unsure on how to manage this. What I understand is that the cleric knows 3 cantrips of which he can do as many as he wants, and knows 15 lvl1 spells of which he can 'pray' (prepare) 2/day.
So I just put in the PC Sheet the 3 cantrips he knows and the 2 lvl1 prepared spells.
Is it OK?

Yes. That's right (except the character can prepare WIS+Level=4). They can cast two of those prepared 4 per day (and unlimited cantrips).

If you let me know the spells then I can copy the BBCode for you.

The lvl1 Cleric spells are:
Bane
Bless
Command
Create or Destroy Water
Cure Wounds
Detect Evil and Good
Detect Magic
Detect Poison and Disease
Guiding Bolt
Healing Word
Inflict Wounds
Protection from Evil and Good
Purify Food and Drink
Sanctuary
Shield of Faith

Although, considering he is Chaotic Good, probably won't be using Bane, nor Proct. from good.

To save me copying them all, which ones were you planning on preparing?

If you're unsure about which ones you'd like to prepare, you have time until the rest are done with character creation so don't worry too much about it.

Thanks a lot Adam, I think I'll initially use the ones I have put as prepared in the sheet.
If nothing new requires a change of prepared spells, I'll stick to those for a while...
I dont't have much experience on 5e, even less with spellcasters, so I'm t rying to make it easy for me to start using those.

No worries. You can prepare two more level 1 spells (even though you can only cast 2/day).

You can now select spells to cast using your character sheet (selecting it under the rolls menu). Selecting a spell from the dropdown adds the description to your post in an expandable section (a spoiler tag).

Hi all,
I was just wondering around this Lliira goddess... there seems to be an Order of the White Violet, of which he may be affiliated to. If this work in the setting, and you find it makes sense for the character, I'd be willing to prepare a back story with him being traveling after completing his initiation in the order...
Or maybe something related to a mission to help the Harpers. From what little I could read, this Order and the Harpers are supposed to be allies, both working to spread goodness in the world, so a joint mission could also work fine.

Please do let me know your thoughts on this, I wouldn't want to impose this ideas, nor would I want to work on an elaborate story not to be appropiate for the setting.

It's a short one-shot, so I wouldn't put too much effort into it.

Lliira is a chaotic goddess, so I don't think She'll mind if you wing it.

I like the way you and MelodyMeradin finished with the suggestion of a recurring tier 1 baddy.

It would have been nice if Ed hadn't been pinned down or if he'd rolled higher, but dice, eh? What can you do?

Them dice... Anyway, I hoped you enjoyed this little one shot. I only wish I wasn't so busy and led the game in a better pace.
