Hi! I and my friend looking for welcoming game to practice our English (Our native language is Russian) and possibly learn new RPG systems. For me it will be 1 st play by post game (my friend more experienced in that kind of play). We played D&D 3.5, D&D 5, Vampire: the masquerade, Warhammer 40k Deathwatch and Dark Heresy. We looking forward to play D&D 5e, Savage World, Fate, Dungeon worlds, GUMSHOE (But we are open to other suggestions). We can write 2-3 posts a week (but if all goes easy we can manage post a day).

My questions are:

1) Is it right place to find this kind of game? (maybe there is a chat or some kind lfg site?)
2) How can I filter games to show Beginner-friendly games?
3) What kind of RPG systems are more suited for play-by-post games?
4) If it allowed to ask, where else I can find play-by-post games?

Edit : As advised I created Introduction post

Welcome Mihey! This is a good place to look for new games, and you can also introduce yourself on the Introductions thread http://gamersplane.com/forums/14/

As an online English teacher, I can say that playing PBP games are great way to practice!

I don't think there's a way to filter out beginner friendly games but they do pop up regularly so keep an eye on this thread.

Speaking personally Gamers Plane is THE best place for PBP on the internet! A wonderful welcoming community with some awesome players and GMs.

Welcome, Mihey! English is a second language for me as well. It's no big deal - everyone here is really nice. And very patient and willing to help beginners too!

1) I think you can find what you're looking for here. Frankly, if someone gives you a hard time over it, lemme know and I'll talk to them. Ah, the wonderful power of being an absolute overlord of your website... We don't have live-chat yet, though that is planned. We do have voice comms though if you ever want to practice your verbal English; I'm sure people wouldn't object.
2) I don't have a beginner friendly flag yet, though that is planned. Right now, posts like this in the Games Tavern are best.
3) I think any system works in PbP, but you end up having to dial back mechanics. Games that are more RP centric play better.
4) There are a few other sites that do PbP, and I don't mind people talking about them, as long as people aren't actively recruiting for them.

Dobrij pozhalovats! Or -- as close as I can get with my non-cyrillic keyboard. Back in the dark ages, I majored in Russian and spent some time in Mockba. I still have my .. hrm.. not sure how to spell mexovaya properly.. anyway. my fur hat! It was a cold cold winter. :)

I've seen more than one non-native speaker play here. It works just fine. Our most frequent one, BlackStork was, I think, German. Alas I think real life beat him with a stick and he had to meander off. Like Keleth, I think if someone gives you a hard time, many of us would be grumpy at that person along with you. :)

As to PbP, I know there are others, but this is the only one I've used with any regularity! We're in a bit of a summer lull at the moment on some of the games as people travel and whatnot, but there's a lot of activity all the same.
