Alternative character option from me. We can choose which one will be better for this setting. This one is much more developed in terms of backstory and personality - still leaving proper "blanks" to fill in - but it can be better or worse depending on situation and your assumptions about this game. Also you can know me from "Starfall (SW 1e)" game and know that I'm quite dedicated player:)
Kaze Lasaro - religious monk

Eager Eyes, Short hair, Loose Silk Clothing, Graceful but Muscular Body
Big, muscular man - almost 2m high. His posture could be even intimidating for some smaller people or beings, but his face seems to reveal very gentle and friendly nature of his. As long as there is no threat for the people in need, that he thinks he could help. At those situations he becomes calm as stone, and emotions from his face seem to evaporate completly.
Bronze ring on the left arm (above biceps). - when you look closer it is actually two rings: wider one is enveloped with the narrower one. Could there be something between them? There are also some symbols or letters around the bigger ring, but they are in some not commonly know language and very hard to read.
He have Monk's Staff - it looks like a simple metal rod with an uncomplicated square texture all the way through it - for a firm grip - 2 m long, and only 3 cm thick. It looks like it should be much heavier then it actually is.
[ +- ] PERSONALITY
He would be quite religious monk I must say, and he will spend some time praying/talking to his God each day. But what is strange for most denizens of this world he is the only one so far that seems to know this particular God. You don't know anyone or even heard about anyone who has talked about this God. And what's even worse( for some other religious people at least) he is claiming with unwavering certainty that his God is the only One True God. And all others are either just peoples imagination, tricks or some demonic/evil manifestations, even though that sometimes presents themselves as good dieties. This of course can bring some real trouble on him in some societies. If he will have good occasion or would be asked about it - he will try to convince you that he is right about his God and you should also try to pray to him and see the changes in your life. But he will always do it in light, no-pushy way. If you will start to describe your magic spells or powers, or other deities from this world... he may laugh a little at you... but in friendly way, just claiming that you have a lost your ways a little.
For outside observer all of this may seem even a little ridiculous. Who is this guy? Who does he think he is?
So is his God just some kind of hoax, a trick or just some kind of life attitude/stance played by him, you may ask? It could be... as long as you just hear or read about him. You see the problem with this claim is...
When he is praying for longer time, or being in presence of his God (as he like to call it)... his hair and quite a few scars that he have on his body starts to glow with white, a little blue even light. It can be to this degree that he will be [easily??] noticeable in the dark. From a distance it can even look strange, even alien for other people. So usually he is a little embarrassed at this futures of body of his. And wears monk robes with a hood to hide it from others when he is in such state. [he thinks that he is not worthy of such gift?? ] That's from a distance, but when he is in such state and you are close to him - few stapes a way - you can really feel something... could it be calming peace of his God? There is definitely something real about this, not only this strange light...
So he don't like any magical items as he thinks that their power are from demons, and will try to get rid of them as fast as he can... brutally in the fight and quite friendly and jokingly when with the friends... what can lead to award[funny is allowed here? ] situations.
When he is with his close friends he can be even ribald what is quite unusual for a monk. Sometimes he happens to even brag about how good he was with picking up girls in his former life, but then he is fast to reflect himself and is fast to say something like: "But now I'm not interested in such things, of course!" Blushing was he? And is it completely true... ?
[ +- ] BACKGROUND
He definitely was in some part of his life in some kind of monastery, but it is not know for now if he was repelled from there for something or he is on some kind of mission from the main monk? He can fight with his staff and with ju-jutsu style. Especially he like throw technics, that can be devastating if he and foe is standing on rock or some other hard surface.
