Jack in choom.

As you call up the maintenance server the AR around you shifts to the first floor of the construct and you see the initial login barrier who's flashing black and yellow portal requires a password.
Oct 11, 2022 8:47 am
Numa begins a Backdoor approach to bypass the password.

Rolls

Interface: Backdoor - (1d10+4)

(3) + 4 = 7

Oct 11, 2022 3:09 pm
You feed the code into the server and red lights flash green as the barricade slide open for you.

Please enter command...
OOC:
Do you want to run anything else before descending to the next floor?
Oct 13, 2022 2:39 am
OOC:
@Nezzeraj moving to the next level? You get three NET actions per turn
Oct 13, 2022 3:25 am
OOC:
Going to use Cloak and Pathfinder actions first.

Rolls

Interface: Cloak - (1d10+4)

(9) + 4 = 13

Interface: Pathfinder - (1d10+4)

(10) + 4 = 14

Oct 13, 2022 3:43 pm
Floor 2 control node: maintenance robots
Floor 3 password
Floor 4 black ice: hellhound
Floor 5 control node: cameras
Oct 14, 2022 2:09 am
Numa makes a mental note of the maintenance robots and moves on to Floor 3.

Rolls

Interface: Backdoor - (1d10+4)

(7) + 4 = 11

Oct 14, 2022 2:21 am
Another virtual door slams shut before Numa on the third floor and another code injection clears the way.
Oct 14, 2022 3:41 pm
Numa moves on to the 4th floor prepared to face some Black Ice. He executes his Shield program.
Oct 15, 2022 4:59 am
OOC:
Just so you have all your options you can also use Slide to bypass ICE rather than fight it if you so choose
Oct 15, 2022 10:43 am
OOC:
I thought about Slide, but the book says "flee combat" and "Slide can't be used preemptively." I took these to mean it's an escape action rather than a sneak action. I think my violent character would rather attack anyway though lol.
Oct 15, 2022 3:54 pm
OOC:
Ok, right you are, combat it is! I'll roll initiative just to speed things along and I assume you meant you load your Armor program since it doesn't look like you own Shield... All the better though as Shield doesn't work on black ICE and Armor does ;)
Oct 15, 2022 3:56 pm
Numa loads his Armor program and drops into the fourth floor where the geometric AR form of the Hellhound awaits. The construct rezzes as Numa approaches and the Netrunner can feel the unshielded circuits of his deck begin to heat up....
OOC:
Numa is faster! Code up cowboy!

Rolls

Numa initiative - (1d10+4)

(9) + 4 = 13

Hellhound initiative - (1d10+6)

(1) + 6 = 7

Oct 16, 2022 8:26 am
OOC:
Oops yes I meant Armor. Let me know if I did this correctly. I think I get 2 Net actions, so do I just use the Zap action as my second action?
"Let's see what you got." Numa loads up his Sword program.

Rolls

Interface - (1d10+4)

(5) + 4 = 9

Sword - (3d6)

(613) = 10

Oct 16, 2022 3:50 pm
OOC:
You forgot to add your program attack rating (1) to your Interface+1d10 roll, otherwise perfect! You get a total of 3 NET actions per round so loading Sword was one, Sword attack was two now yes you could Zap as a third.
Numa injects a Sword program into the server and slashes the Hellhound viciously, carving off half of the construct's head!
OOC:
Roll your Zap

Rolls

ICE defense vs Sword attack of 10 - (1d10+2)

(3) + 2 = 5

Oct 17, 2022 12:11 am
OOC:
Oh I'll add program ratings in the notes then. I might have to include those as separate attacks lol. Zapping.

Rolls

Interface - (1d10+4)

(7) + 4 = 11

Zap damage - (1d6)

(1) = 1

Oct 18, 2022 12:12 am
The Black ICE runs hostile code against Numa causing his board to scream as the cooling system tries desperately to slow the overheating...

Numa's Armor program kicks in and a wall of encryption slams into place before the Hellhound's malware can affect him!
OOC:
Numa's up!

Rolls

Hellhound attack/damage - (1d10+6, 2d6)

1d10+6 : (9) + 6 = 15

2d6 : (12) = 3

Numa defense (-4 damage if taken) - (1d10+4)

(3) + 4 = 7

Oct 18, 2022 2:31 am
OOC:
I think programs are only usable once per meatspace round so I'll just use 3 zaps.

Rolls

Interface: Zap - (1d10+4)

(5) + 4 = 9

Interface: Zap - (1d10+4)

(5) + 4 = 9

Interface: Zap - (1d10+4)

(3) + 4 = 7

Zap 1 dmg - (1d6)

(4) = 4

Zap 2 dmg - (1d6)

(6) = 6

Zap 3 dmg - (1d6)

(3) = 3
