1) Posting rate of 3-4 times a week, roughly every other day. Faster posting is encouraged during combat. Leave room for everyone to post in a posting round.
2) The usual rules of respecting your fellow players are in place. If the game veers into territory that is unwanted for you, just let me know or mention it in the OOC Thread and we will work out another way to proceed.
3) D&D is a game of characters coming together in a party and a shipboard campaign even more so. Make sure your character will play well with others.
4) I am going to run this as pseudo-West Marches with two groups of four with different objectives. I am going to run both here because gossip travels as fast as the wind on the lake so you will have heard the sailor's tale version of what happened to the other group. If player numbers drop, the groups will merge. So go for friendly rivalry between the two groups since you might be working together someday.
