Looks like SvanDerh/CAptain Jewel has been inactive for a bit, perhaps DM can make apropriate rolls to move things along? Jewel will be in the water scouting as well since we have and NPC Helmsman

The river water is cold and something has recently churned up the silt at the bottom making the water as obscured at the foggy air above. No doubt this is why the scouts failed to notice the shallow stretch of the river on the starboard side of the bank. Fortunately for the crew of the Arcana, the helmsman, whether by memory, instinct, or luck, chose to steer the ship towards the center of the river. There is a brief grinding sound as the stern of the ship drags the bottom briefly and then you are free and clear into the deeper part of the river.

Not liking the sound or feeling of the Arcana scraping bottom Finn grits his teeth, "Kitty, can you check the hull for damage?"

If Kitty does go to investigate, she will find that the damage is superficial. There are some scratches along the hull but nothing deep.
Had the helmsman not turned when he did, it would have been bad.
The Arcana continues its way down the river. The helmsman keeps his course towards the center of the river. All of a sudden a shape looms out of the fog to your starboard. Its blocky shape suggests a barge and it is heading your way. From that barge, you hear the cry, "Again! Procan's balls, are all the idiots on the river today?" Sailors on the barge are frantically poling to push the barge as far to the side as they can.
