Why did you come to Salvation? What is it you’re looking to seek? Wealth? Power? Love? or perhaps something else in the Grey.

Feel free to discuss, build and introduce your character here, as well as ask any questions you may have.

Try this again. Lol

Planning to run a Warforged Artificer who is a House Agent for House Cannith. (That's race, class, and background.)

The intent is to become a master crafter of reknown, and reach a point where he can comfortably retire and run a shop for adventurers. Maybe even a faction chapter at the border to a dangerous region, providing services and supplies to others on House business. The goal (at least in lart) is to prove you don't need a dragonmark to excell in crafting.

I like it. I was wondering if someone would go with a Warforged. Have you decided his role in the Last War?

Welcome everyone! I had a lot more interest than I thought. I'm waiting on a couple invites to confirm. If everyone stays on board, we may have 8. Applications are now closed. My plan is to have the story start tomorrow or Saturday at the latest. Of course, that will depend on how character creation goes.

The Salvation Outpost chat is the currently locked, but will be opened when we get started.

Does that work for everyone?

Assuming my previous character is still good, no issues from my side :)

I am going with a Mark of scribing, Knight of the order, cleric of arcana. Out to ensure magic knowledge and power is used correctly and occasionally prove your don't need to be a big brawny warrior to uphold your ideals.

I've read over the Eberron content but never played in the setting so am eager to get into it.

Timeline sounds good to me.

As for his role in the War, I would assume some sort of magical support and supply. Probably created during the final days of the conflict. I'm not giving him the stats or class to have been a functioning front line fighter, so support seems more fitting.

I'm probably going to stick with my previous character, although I realized in the last game I made certain choices poorly (particularly spells). I chose all my spells with "theme" in mind but I noticed I ended up having a lot of no range spells, which isn't a great idea since I have no armor. Lol.

I'm building a Mark of Finding Half-orc, House Agent to justify the mark and for the class he's a Gloomstalker Ranger. House Tharask sent scores of people to scout the mist, gathering information and bringing back anything of value they found. Kleber just wants to explore the deadly unknown, the fact his House is paying for the trip convinces the bounty hunter to rush toward Salvation Outpost

I'm quite new to the Eberron setting, re-reading the 5e book right now, would this background fit in the campaign?

The fun part with Warforged, they’re programmed with whatever they need for their role when they’re created. So you can play around as much as you like with what he did. A brand new Warforged can easily be sent to the front lines without any further training. After the war, they can drift aimlessly trying to figure out who or what they are or they could end up in a militia because war is all they know.

I leave your background and reason for being in Salvation up to you. As long as he has a reason to join the salvage crew, he’s good to go.

That's true, but they aren't putting a Warforged with 8 STR but 16 INT in a front line "infantryman" type of roll. So, I feel his roll still needs to be supported by the character sheet.

For sure! I am playing Mordaky Amerald, a Tiefling with a mad rack of horns, a giant greatsword, and a fiendish patron that's helping him out of a jam. He started life as a fighter (2 levels) and then made his pact at level 3 (Warlock). Mordaky is a gambler by nature is willing to put coin on almost anything but beyond anything he is brave and just wants to be free of his past mistakes.

Creating a male shifter (beasthide) barbarian that was an athlete.

Core the athlete: Well Known as a Pentathlon athlete.

Primal Knowledge (Optional)
When you reach 3rd level and again at 10th level, you gain proficiency in one skill of your choice from the list of skills available to barbarians at 1st level.

Is that optional available?

@Nictorah Can you allow custom character sheets?
Jan 27, 2023 2:02 am
I thought I had, it should be fixed.

Any official options are allowed. I’m not afraid of your power.

Thats like a police officer saying he isn't affraid of racing any car in the world as long as it obeys the traffic laws. Come on let us use the nitro.
You will allow custom content... LoL. or not :)

These aren’t the droids we’re looking for. He can go about his business. Move along, move along.
