Darkmode and color bb code

With darkmode enabled, my fonts all get inverted coloring (whites --> blacks, and viceversa). Which is fine mostly. But I want to do a thing with a forced white background and black text. The darkmode font color stomps all over my color choices. How can I work around darkmode? (Do note, I love darkmode and live in it all the time.)

Hey now, no need to call out anyone's body odor lol.

BoS's trick works because using a foreground AND a background disables the colour inversion.
