I promised myself since I'm starting a new job next week I would not wade into another more past my current commitments, but then I had an epiphany idea at the gym today, so here's the pitch let me see how many people are interested.
Legacies Game
This game would work a little different than most games; there would be much greater lengths of time between each adventure and your characters would be expected to be living lives-- getting married, having children, etc along the way because during the course of your adventures you are not just building a single character, but rather a legacy-- a family.
The expectation of the game is that your characters will die-- from old age if nothing else, and pass on both your worldly good, but also enhancements to your family line which unlock bonuses and options for your future characters-- who are appropriately enough the children of your previous characters.
This is based on some of the systems from the old "Pendragon" Arthurian roleplaying system, but I would be running it either in Path 1, AD&D 2nd Ed, or DND 5E, or potentially something like Core 8 (my homebrew d8 based system) depending on what most people were interested in.
Starting characters would be pretty limited on class/race options with the need to unlock legacies to get things like magic into your lineage.
Just an idea-- looking to see how many want this type of experience before I move forward.
