Figured it all out though. Think I'm good to go.

@PoisonIvy Just a couple things
1. I added details to Precognative and Spell-Touched
2. The fisherman kind of already covers what river-wise might do for you. I thibnk. Pick another trait or explain what you are trying to do with river-wise
3. The starting magic item is a minor thing.so you or I will need to nerf it a bit. It could for example allow you to breath water or hold your breath for 5 minutes an hour.
4. what brought you out to adventure? This is just for a starting point.
5. Would you like to start off wandering and bump into some others, be hired to go help out, or already hired and at the base in some capacity (scout, dock hand, kitchen, janitorial, etc.)

2. Changed the trait to Survivalist.
3. Made the edit to 5 minutes.
4. Unexplained, rapid-onset psionics (Precognition, Spell-Touched). I'm a fan of keeping backstory vague until I learn more about the character through play, but I'll put some details in the Character Notes section.
5. I'm thinking either wandering or being hired, but I'm not sure what "hired to go help out" would look like exactly.

The standard is to get recruited as a scout for the expedition.
In game time it has been a couple months so it is a known established adventuring spot. Though established, and controlled, by the expedition the location is beginning to be more well known and a few individuals have wandered in

I'll go with being hired then. Think it makes the most sense.

Ok just to clarify : Moli is a fishermans dauther with precognitive and magical power (prime witch material) who left home for various reasons and took a job with the expedition for money or adventure.
If you have no objections I mill start you off at the expedition base camp with another player who is just about to undertake their first mission. Moli hired on as kitchen staff and has been working as a cooks assistant and serving talbes. Sound OK?

It would be her job till she begins adventuring. After that you will need to work things out.
