[RECRUITMENT] D&D 5E Levels 1-20 Epic Campaign

The Campaign: Descent into the Yawning Portal Located Inside Waterdeep's Lost Mine of Phandelver to Break the Storm King's Curse of Strahd

The Pitch: Welcome adventurer, I have a thrilling and ambitious campaign idea that mashes up all the officially published campaigns in D&D 5e. Are you ready to embark on a journey like no other?

The campaign takes place in a multiverse where various realities collide, and the fate of the entire universe hangs in the balance. The players will begin in the world of Faerun, where they'll encounter the characters, villains, and settings from popular campaigns such as Curse of Strahd, Tomb of Annihilation, Storm King's Thunder, and Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.

As the players progress, they'll discover that these worlds are not as separate as they thought, and they'll need to travel through portals and rifts to explore other realities. They'll encounter the demonic forces of the Abyss from Out of the Abyss, the cosmic horrors of the Far Realm from Ghosts of Saltmarsh, and the apocalyptic dangers of Ravnica from Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica.

As the players journey through these different realities, they'll discover a powerful entity that seeks to merge all the worlds into one and rule over them all. The players must team up with the greatest heroes from each world to prevent this from happening and save the multiverse.

Throughout the campaign, the players will face epic battles, solve puzzles, and interact with iconic characters from each campaign. The stakes will be high, and the danger will be ever-present. Will they be able to save the multiverse and defeat the powerful entity, or will they succumb to its evil influence?

Get ready for an adventure of a lifetime, where no two sessions will be the same. Will you take up the challenge and become the hero the multiverse needs?

Character Creation: You can play any class and race from any splatbook. Hell, even Unearthed Arcana. The more broken the better.

The Players: I'm looking for 10-20 players. Preferably ones who don't know today is April Fool's Day.

Can I join with a PF2e character? I know some of the math is different but in the end, both just roll D20, so it shouldnt matter too much, right?

Yeah, basically the same game. But only 1e PF kineticist. Also all archetypes are allowed. Perhaps a blood kineticisict? Dimensional ripper? (Yes, apparently that is a an archetype and not the name of a death metal album).

I’ve got this homebrew I’ve been wanting to try out. Tabaxi-Tiefling Warlock/Assassin Multiclass! Sounds like this would be perfect!

I am exactly 0.8 Matthew Mercers. I also extensively use the Rule of Cool because I can't be bothered to look up rules I don't know.

Damn it I'll play this! I'll multiclass vow of peace druid with warlock of the great old ancient mushroom lord from the outer dimensions and take the feat astral trip if that is available. It's a bit meta, but I heard when you walk up on the storm's King's "meeting" with the Frostmaiden, this is the go to class.

Okay, I have a great idea! You said you're looking for 20 players and there's twenty levels. So how about, instead of like usual, everyone plays a different class but at the same level, we're all playing the same class, but each at a different level. I volunteer to be level 20 but someone else has to make my character sheet for me.

This one will manipulate light and gravity, eventually space and time, and hit points. So many hit points.

Can I bring in an SotDL character? It's practically the same game. And since this is an Epic campaign, would you mind if I took two novice, expert, andaster paths each?

I have an amazing character idea...

A Paladin Hexblade... who is horny! See the cool part is he wants to have copious amounts of adult activities with anything possible... but isn't a bard!

Naturally a human, the only race in D&D who can literally impregnate any other race.

Also, as a pact weapon he uses The Penetrator, from Saints Row 3. It's a meter-long jelly-style dildo attached to the handle of a baseball bat. It should work with Great Weapon Fighting and Great Weapon Master. I can't wait to smite my foes with it!!

You should make him have a rake for a weapon, instead. Then, as a bard he can also be a rake!

Or just have his rake be another rake and you can play with two PCs!

I've already played this adventure three times so I know all the plot points but would you have me anyway I'm very good at RP and could pretend like I didn't know that Strahd is actually the good guy, as to not spoil anyone else fun.

I'm very disappointed there are no 6000 year old women in pre-pubescent girls' bodies yet. And I haven't heard a single origin where their mother was an angel and their father was a devil, preferably the highest ranking ones, and they are the Chosen One meant to bring balance. I also need a character who has single-handedly killed a dragon even though they are only 1st level, and an orphan who was adopted into an assassin's guild and who sees murder as the solution to every problem.

I've been thinking it over, and it seems like 5e just can't contain the awesomeness needed, so we'll be using HackMaster instead.

I'm willing to fill in the masses for it but sorry it isn't 5e anymore so I'm not so interested.

Does Hackmaster 2e support this character concept? I want to play a ghost that will be very active early in the game, but then suddenly switch to a completely invisible, inaudible, and intangible state about 30-50 posts into the game. The change will happen abruptly, and they'll stay that way forever after.

There's actually a neat feature to help with this kind of character. After a while, zzz will appear next to your posts, which emulates scary ghost noises.

I mean it's HackMaster 5e so technically it still is 5e!
Damn, spinach stole the joke I was going to make. Yes it seems half of my players also become ghosts about two weeks into a game and disappear forever.

Hmm. Okay. Hackmaster version of 5e... Okay that could be interesting. As long as it isn't too far from 5e. I have lots of trouble with rule changes and such. :).... Have to think about a character for it.
