Thanks for the invite! I'll dust off and take at look at the playbooks later tonight. Is Tome of Mysteries also available for character creation? Just curious, no worries if not.

Unfortunately I only have the core rulebook, so I'm going to have to say no on the Tome of Mysteries.

Also just checking in. I've played a few Monster's games and listened to several other PbA games podcasts, like the McElroy Monster of the Week, but this is the dorst time I've gotten in to play this version. Making dinner as I type this so I will be a little bit before I jump in to further conversation.

I want to apologize if I'm jumping the gun, but I have been thinking about options and I'd like to discuss parameters of the game. I guess I'm asking for the "Lines and Veils" conversation?

Personally, my only thing is please veil violence/abuse toward children. It can happen off screen, like the monsters can attack the orphanage or whatever, we can know it is happening through innuendo or signs, but I would not want to "see" graphic depictions "on camera" as it were.

I respect my other players lines and Veils as well, and there are guidelines the site has asked us to follow. Basically in my mind it kind of comes down to which kind of show would this be? Big three network standards and practices, CW style sexy people/monsters, or Premium Cable after the kids are in bed...or as I call it Blood, Boobs & Butts (BB&B)?

Personally I'm for BB&B, but I'll respect whatever limit we set.

I don't have lines or veils. But I respect all others.
But please don't refer to US cable networks or guides to set these, for I don't live in the US. Best be clearer about it.

There will not be any depiction or description of any kind of abuse or mistreatment of children. That is one of my lines as well. We will of course follow GP's guidelines concerning this topic, which will be pretty easy for us to do I believe. I'd like for ct to chime in on this topic as well, so we're all on the same page.

As for the rating or whatever of this "show"? I won't be describing sexual acts and hope that you players wont either, though the descriptions of NPC's and your characters can be suggestive if we want. So kissing, heavy petting, showing some skin but anything more will fade to black.

Absolutely. So I won't go "Full Succubus" if I do end up being the Monster. Not a problem.

We still need rossum's input on this and their chosen playbook. Once that's done we should be able to move on.

At the top of page 5 in this thread, https://gamersplane.com/forums/thread/21532/ is a Monster of the Week character sheet. It looks good and looks to have all the info you need on the sheet. Please take a look and use it when making your characters, thanks.

Sorry for the delay folks! I will do better about checking my notifications. I am 100% on board with no violence against children as a line. Fine with fading to black for sexytimes if needed.

I'd like to sort of Veil cockroaches. I don't mind if they're in the scene or an incidental, but I would not like to have a focus on them. Bugs in general don't bother me, and oddly giant insects are perfectly fine as they are more like scifi monsters, but flying roaches in every day life is yucky.

I have an old Spellslinger that never got to the table, maybe I'll dust him off. Let me take a look at what everyone else has made already.

I don't think anyone has made anything. Our MC asked for top 3 choices, and you are the first to even mention Spellslinger so if you like the other tip choices with yours we might all be ready to move forward on that front.

AutomAtomic did you specify Elisa's monster breed? I don't really see it on her sheet.

I'm not really sure how to classify her. The lore is not clear in my reading, but I am open to suggestions. My inspiration is Baba Yaga, or a Boogey Man. Her Curse is to Pure Drive: Fear. She can manipulate and mentally dominate people to do her bidding and her claws are very dangerous. If we feel a need to pick something off the list from the sheet, I see Faerie or Demon.

. These are only suggestions: feel free to make a different version!

so yes, we can modify something from the list so it fits your character vision of her.

Then I'll add in Boogey Man just label her as something.

Okay, sounds good. A Boogey Man, but remember she has to be able to pass for human as well. Even if it's with a disguise of some kind.

It's become a bit obvious to me that interest in this game is basically non existent, so I will be deleting this game.
