Character Creation

This is where we will create your characters for the game. We will start by you listing your top 3 choices for the playbooks you want to play.

List them in order from what you most want to play, to what you'd still play but would rather play the others instead.

We'll go from there once that's done.

I never played this game yet, so it's hard to truely judge interesting playbooks.
Which means I'd automatically fall back the best way to selecting them: those that have a good "feel" to them for a character :)

My top 3 (in about any order really) would be:

1. Chosen
2. Spooky
3. Mundane

Interesting choices. The Chosen eh? Hm, what would that look like for you?

I think I'm looking at the right list. I'll double check later but this is my initial bid.

Huh, tough call, all interesting and varied choices, but I've narrowed it down to:

1. The Divine
2. The Expert
3. Crooked/The Professional

TAZ S2 was great!

For the chosen specifically, I am thinking the a daughter of someone who was a famous monster hunter, but who was killed by a monster. Now everyone is looking at her. You're the daughter, go avenge your father! She is gifted, people look at her, but is it what she really wants? Can she deal with the pressure?

I'm really only interested in playing Expert, but if I had to choose two other...

1) Expert
2) Professional
and maybe 3) The Initiate

Hm, interesting choices. Though the Expert does seem to fit you, from what I know of you.

I believe @rossum is still to make a choice, but we all have been picking a different first choice so far. That's great.

Between Chosen, Monstrous, Divine, Expert and something else we could make an interesting group composition.

Interesting choices. The character sheet thread has a mostly blank character sheet. Go ahead and work through it till you get to the introductions. Once there, let me know and we'll do the introductions.

I did some copy-pasting to jet my character over into a template and submitted it.

Short story is Janos is a Old World (Hungarian) earth mage. He's mid-forties but looks more worn. A TBD-monster (maybe a mummy) got his mentor and he's now stateside, looking to find out more.

Looking good so far. Going to go ahead and approve both characters submitted as they are and we'll work through the rest once the others catch up.

A girl, barely 18 years old steps into the room. She seems to be a bit of a tomboy. Dark eyes, dark hair. Practically dressed. Her hair in a ponytail, sporty pants and shirt, a reinforced black leather jacket. She holds a long, but thin sword. Her moves are those of a dancer, while she holds the sword in two hands.

Alex (Alexis) Bishop is an 18-year-old girl who was chosen by her family’s Sacred Sword by chance in the night that a monster killed her father during an attack at her house. She comes from quite a wealthy family which is said to have it’s roots in Salem. Her father, John, was a very famous and successful monster hunter in town and he had been training up his other daughter, Sam (20), to succeed him. But now it is Alex who wields the family sword.

So the sword chose Alex instead of Sam? What does Sam feel about that?

Yes. Alex defended her family (by taking the sword from her father's corpse and killing the attacker), so the sword chose Alex.
Sam feels like her position has been stolen. And Alex feels like she never wanted it in the first place.

Juicy family drama right there.
