Sundered Spirit

Saber 2 pulls the soulspace scrypad from its mount and offers it to the goblin. Without power source or trusted connection it was likely useless. But it was definitely shiny and new.

"Aww, it happens to the best of us boss man. Just sit back and relax. I'm sure it'll be smooth sailing from here on." Misty says with a smile that doesn't reach her eyes...because she wasn't designed with them...but her face plate glows a soothing blue. She turns back to Sterling and says quietly, "No pressure choom-ski, but we're running out of time on this gig, and I need to get paid. What's say we focus up a bit aye?"

Farrek has his one dagger out and is playing with it until the vehicle hit something and almost made him lose his focus and drop the dagger in his foot!

"Hey! Watch where you're going bud."

Saber 2 opens the hatch and keeps his head on a swivel as they come to a halt vulnerable to ambush.

Farrek gets out of the car when it stops and stretches, preparing his limbs for any action. He then surveys the landscape, focusing on the damaged tower. He looks to see if the front entrance had been destroyed, or if it was still intact.

"So this is probably above my pay grade. But aren't these mana towers supposed to be built to shackle and contain the most powerful force in the cosmos? How exactly does one break it on happenstance?" Saber 2 was looking at the mana storm flowing from the heavily damaged tower. Scratching his balaclava where it covered his scalp. "Forget it, its probably nothing." Saber 2 looked around for anything even more out of the ordinary. Trying not to think to hard about the nature of something that could damage a mana tower. Unable to shake it he just found his gaze drawn to the damaged tower. In absolute awe of the magnitude of the event that was even capable of damaging one of these towers. "I bet an entire battalions worth of ordnance wouldn't even scratch the paint." The operative mumbled under his breath.

Whatever they want us to do has got to have some purpose, if the purpose is actually the same as what they claim it is isn't our job to go investigating, if something doesn't make sense to us it's probably because we've never run a huge company." Sterling says in response to Saber 2 before realizing that that's what had been drilled into his head as a boy when he would ask questions like why did they give me glasses but not all the other blind people on the street.

M1 wanders off to check out the ruined buildings. "Cool cool cool. If driving was all you needed us fir I'm gonna see if anythijg got left behind."
