Rules and Etiquette
1. Violence is forbidden! Elysium is first and foremost a safe haven, where ALL of the Vampires for a city can come together and mingle without fear of violence. So... Control your temper, control your Beast. Violence is never allowed. Anyone who acts up will be dealt with by the Sheriff, Hound, or Scourge.
2. No Disciplines. Outside of court officials using Auspex or actively removing someone from the premises, discipline use is forbidden.
3. The Prince's say is absolute. The rules don't apply to the Prince, and any order from him is to be followed. Breaking a rule of Elysium under orders from the Prince does not count as breaking a rule of Elysium.
4. Actions -- and words -- have consequences. Remember what I said about respect? Political bullshit is rampant at Elysium. However... once you leave Elysium grounds, you ARE NOT PROTECTED ANYMORE. Reprisal after the fact is commonplace. Be careful who you piss off.
5. Poor form is poor form. There are always refreshments. However, don't show up hungry. A little pekish? Sure. Famished? You better hunt first. And not within two miles of Elysium on the night of Court.
Similarly, don't show up late. It's like going to the theater... no one wants to be interrupted.
Lastly, look your best. If you look like you played in mud puddles or cartwheeled through a dusty field on your way in, you'll never live it down.
6. Addressing the Prince. The first time you speak to him, use "Your Highness" or "Your Majesty." It shows deference, and acknowledges his position in the city. After that, "Sir" is acceptable as it is less formal but still conveys respect.
Always address Yuri as "Ma'am." If you need to get her attention, "Lady" is best. "Lady Yuri" is acceptable, but "Lady Seneschal" is probably safest. Especially for us neonates.
This holds for any interaction with the Prince or Seneschal, even outside of Elysium.
This mandate is from our Prince himself.
(If you ever travel, it may be different in other areas. Hell, I'd bet money it will be.)
The Rack: Pioneer Square neighborhood
Waterfront, up to Pike Place Market: Clan Nosferatu
University of Washington: Clan Mekhet
Domain - Be a good host or gracious guest. Respect others' domain as they must respect yours. Present yourself on the first full night you are in a new city.
Hunting - Don't poach in others' hunting grounds.
Respect - Give it, always. You can be firm, but respect may be all that saves your unlife.
Alright... some general tips.
1. Holy hell, don't test Yuri! She's "only" a ghoul but she'll put two thirds of the Kindred in our city to the sunrise. And that's before the Prince gets to you.
2. When you feed, ALWAYS lick the bite. Also, never be seen. Lastly, control yourself -- no dead bodies.
3. Sunlight and Fire are final death... and even worse for us. Always know what time it is, and don't let your Beast get the better of you.
4. You're my responsibility until I release you -- don't fuck up! It'll be my ass if you do.
5. Hank McConnel is the Prince's only Childe. They usually keep it professional, but remember -- Hank is connected.
6. The Prince is old. Like, real old. You should be afraid of him. Damn sure don't fuck with his family.
7. The Prince usually doesn't recognize a Clan Primogen as the leader of a Covenant. Jabari is the exception. No one has the balls to ask why, but rumor has it Jabari was in a Coterie with Willem before they ever settled in Seattle.
8. Yes, it is insanely unconventional to have a "mere" Ghoul hold any sort of court position. Feel free to say something about it. But for the love of God, not till after I release you!
Your Sire:

Faces with names...
