Can you give a one or two sentence description of a friar?

What do you envision Brewer doing? Beer, potions, or something else?

You start with one minor magic item with no mechanical benefit : ex blessed holy symbol, player beads, ever full flagon...

A Friar is a devout and humble religious figure often found tending to the spiritual needs of a community. They tend to live in monasteries and live a life of poverty. I’d say they focus less on rituals and temple stuff and more on the people than compared to a cleric.

I envision the Brewer focusing on beer.

As for magic item, I would say a religious symbol amulet of some sort that relates to a god of hospitality or equivalent diety.

Ok so the friar trade grants your advantage on a knowledge and non combat skills.

So as a religious jack of all trades, abit of religion, academia, and humanitarian aid (organizing and basic crafting/repair), it seems more like instead of advantage from a focused trade you would have a broader skill set that is not at disadvantage. If you want advantage at a particular activity let me know now please.

As Brewer is totally non combat it will give it a bit of a bump and day it grants you the ability to resist poisonous effects(not poison damage)

No requests. I'm new to post by play, and I'm just trying to get a feel for it. You can keep the character as simple and as easy as possible.

Let me know how often you plan/want to post (not a hard requirement). There are 2 speeds at present, daily and 1+/week (it varies with some weeks going faster) and I like to group people with similar play speed to keep them engaged in the story

Any tidbit you want to give on your characters background and why they go adventuring will be used to set up your intro story before you join a group.
